The Summer of 2006

What can say, it was awesome. I did something I always wanted to. I did some extensive traveling.

The year started off in April with my stay over at the Gettysburg Outdoor World campground. I went with my 12 yo , while my husband and 16yo stayed home. We often do it this way. It was a great week. It was good weather and for my paranormal side - some good payoffs.

A month later I was on the road again, back of course to Gettysburg!, this time I was taking some "friends" with me to show them what all the fuss was about. The trip was a disaster. My husband calls me and tells me he was in a serious motorcycle accident, and my "friend" was horrible. It was the trip from hell.

During June  took my daughter over to the Celtic Fling in PA, we stayed at the Outdoor Campground which was right across the street. The skies looked threatening, but held out- but not for long. The next day we start heading over to the Hershey Campground.

It was starting to rain really hard out, so I quickly asked to rent a cabin instead of staying in a tent. The campground got flooded. The whole area started to flood. 

So there went that weekend. 

Two weeks later we were off to Florida, we stopped off in Va and in SC. St Augustine was beautiful. We stayed at a Howard Johnstons right across from the Foutain of Youth. My friend who lives in Florida came with her children and met us. Because we booked at different times- we had different hotels. From there is was off to Orlando, and Brooksville. Stopping off in  Darien,GA ,Fayetteville, NC and Largo, MD on the way home.

I came home for a week and I was off again this time back to Gettysburg, Stafford, VA, and Williamsburg. We had to alter the NC part because my daughter was in a car accident, so I headed down to Gulfport, MS a few days sooner, with a stopover in Anderson, SC. I saw alot this summer, I hope next summer is just as "driven". It was an awesome summer and the best part was the lodging was almost covered.
