The other day my teenager came home with a friend. It was the friend he got in trouble this last time that caused him to get arrested. Now as soon as my teen came through the door. He wanted me to go out the back door but wanted the dogs to stay in the house. I was thinking "wtf"?
Well, I got up and went out the back door. Guess what I seen? A million dollars? No, but boy do I wish. Another dog? Thankfully no. A duck? No.....it was a snake. Yes, a freak'n snake. Can you believe it? These boys caught this snake down at the bridge where they were swimming in the water. My teen knew I would want to see it. So, they brought it home on a stick for me.
Now the friend told me he tried to act like Steve Corwin and pick the snake up by its tail and put it in a bag. Every time someone touched the bag. The snake would try and bite them. So that is how the snake ended up on the end of the stick. By time he got to me. The snake was not a happy camper at all.
I asked what they planned on doing with the snake. My teen said he was going to place it in someones mailbox. I told him no they were going to let it go. I made to sure to watch as the snake was placed in a bush in the neighbors yard. No worries about the neighbors. They are snowbirds and back in the home state right now.
I was able to get some picture of he kids with the snake. Even little "M" had to hold the snake on the end of the stick. Remember little "M" is only ten. So, snakes are still cool to him. Anything to freak mom out is something he likes.
My teen thought because they brought the snake for me to see. I should not be mad at his friend he got in trouble with anymore. What kind of crazy thinking is that?

Thats teen age thinking, lol.
thinking crazy...yeah, my teen is good at that. Lol. But I did get couple of good snake pics.
LOL kids think in crazy ways lol. Its great that he still looks for your approval and forgiveness though, that shows he at least has some kind of awareness that he was in the wrong and has to do things to make mommy happy!
I'm glad nobody got bitten. It is a neat looking snake, and I'm happy you got them to let it go too. I wonder what kind it is? Good pictures by you.
Too bad we can't pick our kids friends easily...
Great pictures. Funny that your son thought bringing home a snake would make up for prior poor behavior. Sounds like a teen.
My, how the minds of kids work!
Nice snake
Crazy boys..lol
Ummm, why is he still hanging out with someone that caused him to get arrested? I don't remember that post, I will have to look back. I don't think I would have allowed that connection again nor the snake in my yard. But, that is me, I was very strict with my kids and a stickler with things like that. But, you got some great pictures there and I hope your son has learned his lesson and stays out of trouble.
Now mommy take the snake as a gift and forgive him, lol. At least he didn't bring it into the house.
If he would of brought it in the house. I would have screamed bloody murder.
My teen is now 18 years old. I can't tell him who he can and can't be friends with. I tried whe he was younger, all that did was make things worse.
Snakes freak me out!!! Glad no one got bitten. Sheesh!!! Teenagers!
It's called kid logic LOL
Yep, don't ya love "kid logic", it could drive you to drink!

Teenagers aren't always as bright as they think they are.
