I'd really like to think that their opinion of me doesn't matter, but I'm sure I could have my feelings hurt. Twice in my life I have listened in to other people's conversations about me and I'm sorry I did.

I have always wanted honesty, completely. I get upset, but I get over it. I have learned to be completely honest with my friends too. I may find the best way to phrase things, but I think it is far worse to lie to somebody, or yourself.

Reading over your comments makes me realize that my friends are honest with me when they feel I need it and I guess I am okay with that. As far as others go, it probably doesn't matter what they think.

Yes....if I could be blatently honest with them. As far as close friends, they pretty much tell me like it is, but as far as a few co-workers that I consider to be friends (using the term loosely), I would love to hear their opinion because I'd love to give them mine.

I lose respect for people who make pointless second hand accusations as if they are the other person's defender. Such people to me me are just gossipy and need to seek out real truth.
