This past weekend was so pretty up the mountains. It seems early, but the leaves are starting to turn colors, golds and reds mostly. The sky was crisp and blue with a few white puffy clouds. I took a walk to the ski slopes which is right at the outskirts of our Village and took a few pictures I'd like to share with you.

It just doesn't get much better than this. It seems like you can see forever from the top of this ski slope.

The next time I take a photo of this scene it will be a multitude of colors.

Another photo that will be very colorful in a few months. This also was taken from the top of a ski slope.

Some wild daisies growing on the ski slopes.

This little bug on some white wildflowers wanted to be included in the scene.

The cattails were hard to photograph because the light breeze was moving them around so much. You'll notice that the ski slope is covered with small rocks. I don't think anyone knows this when they are skiing in the winter.

Thistle in Purple, and Pink!

This Mother Deer needed to rest.....

because her twin fawns wore her out.

Until the Fall colors arrive, I'll leave you with this parting photo.

Snow or not, the Poconos are still a great place to be! Thanks for sharing the photos
with us!
As soon as the leaves turn, my wife and I are going on a two week trip starting in the Adirondacks and ending in the Poconos.
Great photos, Gloria! Looks like it was a wonderful walk. Made me wish there was a place around here where I could take the kids for a walk like that. They would love that. So would I, for that matter!! Hope you take loads of pictures up there when the leaves change color. That would make for an awesome "before and after" essay!! Thanks for sharing!
Okay, hopefully it will work this time!!!! :)

I never realized the Poconos were that beautiful. Hopefully the snow covers all of those rocks before skiers arrive.
