Mikey Makes A New Friend

Photo Essay Contest 

These are some pictures of our son Mike when he visited the San Diego Wild Animal Park and made himself a new friend along the way.

 Making up to this guy was going to be a pretty tall order, still he seemed friendly enough.

Meeting and greeting folks seemed like old hat for this guy.

He seems to be checking out the camera for the possibilities of a photo op and maybe some treats.  

"OK Mikey, Let's pose pretty here for the camera!"

"Oh, yeah, a nice chin scratch really hits the spot there Mikey, old buddy!"

"Whatcha got in yer hand there Mikey, treats?

For me?

Oh, Mikey you are just the best!"

"Slurp! Slurp!

Yeah Mike you are the best friend I have had all day!

What? You want to check out my tongue?

Sure, Pal, go ahead ..."

"Pretty unusual huh?"

"Um ... Mike, old buddy, old pal, when I said you could check it out this isn't exactly what I had in mind ..."

"OK NOW! That's not a plaything there!"

"Well Mikey, it's getting late, time to clock out for the evening and head to the stable.

You have yourself a good one and I'll be looking for you!"

"See you later!"
