I'm Going to Vegas!!! Thank you, Delta!

I'm going to Vegas!
 
My best friend recently moved to Las Vegas.  I'm kind of lost without her here in New York.  We communicate via e-mail almost daily and try to communicate via Skype as often as possible so we can actually see one another!  I even got to see her new puppy, a black cocker spaniel named Brooklyn, on Skype!  Way better than just seeing still photos!
 
I have to bless that fact that my family allowed me to fly home to New York from college in Boston on various weekends (at least once per month) and for holidays, as opposed to taking the bus or the train.  By flying so often, and having a Delta American Express card, I was able to rack up 170,000 Skymiles over a period of 7 years (not just during collect but after college spending and traveling as well).  I utilized 100,000 miles to book a first class round trip seat for my recent vacation to Germany.
 
I still had 70,000 miles left!  So what did I do?  I booked a first class round-trip ticket to Vegas for Labor Day weekend to visit Nicole!  I'll be taking a half vacation day on Wednesday, September 2nd and fly to Vegas that afternoon and I'll be there through Monday, September 7!  I am so excited!!!!
 
I am so thankful to have the Skymiles because I'm not sure that I'd be able to afford to go if I didn't (coach or first class)!!!  A lot of people have trouble using Skymiles, but, to be honest, I've never had issues booking Skymiles flights.  Maybe because I plan so far in advance and the people who have issues are always booking at the last minute?  I have no idea how the airlines work but all I know is that I was successful and I'll be visiting my best friend in 5 months!  YAY!
