Kyleigh's Story - A Second Trip to Great Falls National Park

Last Saturday morning, we took Kyleigh to the Great Falls National Park in Virginia. On Sunday evening, we took her back to the Maryland side of Great Falls National Park (C&O Canal).

We were very surprised at the constructions. It looked like they were going to obsolete the old toggle boat and use a new one. Part of the canal was blocked by metal fence. The Inn also seemed to be closed. They also closed the parking lot right next to the entrance.

Kyleigh seemed very interested in the water falls. Well, it wasn't really the water fall. It was just the water dropping from the canal gates. My husband joked that she would love bungee jumping when she grows up.

Sounds like you all had a great time. It looks lovely. Maybe I need to take a weekend trip somewhere new. Seems like this might be fun and relaxing.

Sounds like a neat time! This reminds me, somewhat, of the last time we visited White Pines Park in Oregon (IL). The state park part was cool, but the zoo area was so over-regulated, it just wasn't any fun any more. Thanks for the excursion, and enjoy your week!
