Hotel Advice in Vegas

Sorry I cant help you. We have never been to Vegas but there is a young missionary serving in our area that lives there. If you dont find another place, email me and I will talk to him. Assuming he dont get transferred to another area

I recommend the Flamingo. The gambling is decent and the restaurants were not too terribly expensive, plus I thought the location was just about perfect.

I stayed at the Imperial Palace. Relatively cheap and the black jack tables started at $3 most of the day. I never go to Vegas and pay a lot for a hotel room. I don't see the sense of spending a lot my money on a place to pass out, instead of blowing it in the casino.

My sister lives there, so we rarely stay at a casino. I was at the Flamingo several years ago, and frankly didn't care for the room much. Maybe it was the colors, ha ha.
I have wanted to visit the Luxor, just to check out the Egyptian decor..... ;-)

My wife and I visit Vegas several times a year.Most of the time we stay at the Stratosphere,it's like home away from home,because we feel comffy there,the comps are great and it's central location.We usually like to visit downtown,Freemont St,Golden Nuggat etc.We stayed at Bally's last trip and found it to be excellent,I love a casino with a 24 hour coffee shop!We are going back for MLK weekend and staying at the Flamingo,I've herd they just renovated the whole place.I'll let you know when we get back how it was.

Hi Patty,got back on tuesday nite and had a great time!About the Flamingo though,I don't recomend it and I will not ever stay there again.To start with when we checked in I asked for a smoking room,when we got to our room there were no ashtrays so I asked a maid in the hall for one and was informed I was on a non-smoking floor!I called guest services and got another room but it ment going back downstairs,with luggage to get a new room with two double beds?We were supposed to have a king bed.I wasn't thrilled with thier casino either,it seemed small with not a very wide varity of slots,and the mininum at the tables was $10.We spent most of the time gambling in other casinos.And if they did renovate,it wasn't in the area I stayed in.The room seemed like a 1/4 mile walk from the elevators also,a wierd layout?But the great thing about Vegas is,no matter where you stay, you're only a walk,bus or cab ride away from another casino!Stick to Ball's if you're comfortable there.

Thanks for the heads up Frank.We just booked MGM as they were having a good special.We have been in there a lot,but never stayed.Read a lot of reviews and most people seemed to like it.

If I ever get so lucky as to take a trip to Vegas I will be making my rich b.... sister put me up as she only lives an hour away in good traffic. That way she can show me the sights and pay for that too.
