Gideon's copy of DK Publishing's The Big Book Of Trains arrived today.

This is Gideon holding it up. See how it dwarfs his hands? LOL It's indeed BIG!

He immediately took it and sat in his chair. A chorus of Wows! and Ohhhs! could be heard from behind the large book.

I know what we'll be reading tonight and what book will promptly be packed in our carry on luggage in May. :)

Amanda I really love DK books too. Gideon has a Dump Truck board book by DK so I knew this one was going to be fabulous!

My husband loves trains! :) He has all sorts of train things, and model trains... just never the time to do the layout. It can be quite a bit expensive. But a VERY nice hobby! :) Yay! Gideon!

Our local library has this book, and my youngest son LOVES it. I think he's set the record for checking it out more often than anyone else. LOL.

DK makes the best books....easiest to read, with the best photographs and illustrations...by the way, cute little boy!

Thanks all. I knew it was going to be good since DK published it. they have the best books. Gideon's already asking for the Monster Truck book shown on the back of this one! :)

I remember those books. There's a bunch of them, and to me they all looked the same, but they still wanted every single one.... (Mostly from the library.)

Takes me back to when I was a child. I used to love Thomas the Train. I had all the trains and I used to play with them on a huge rug that had roads and things on it. I also had a Thomas the Train comforter, which I still have.

Thanks all! Gideon indeed does love this book. He can sit there and just look at the photos of the big trains for quite some time.

I think this will be a good way to pass some of our six hour overlay in Chicago when we go out on the Amtrack.
