Mountain Lion mule deer kill ten yards off the main trail. Scattering of hair and leg bones.

 Anything in there for me. This Golden Mantled Ground Squirrel had no fear of us. He tried to climb into our laps after not finding any treats in our packs.

This young moose stood 20 yards off the trail. I crept too close. He wasn't impressed.

Magnificent view from Cats Lair, 9,700 feet.

The East Inlet trail out of Grand Lake, CO is a great trail for a two or three day trip. Part easy walk, part grueling climb up switchbacks, it has it all.
