Hello to all,
Here's another reason to take that urban hike in St. Louis. Grab the camera, a notebook or digital recorder, some cash to buy a latte, get in the car and drive to a starting point downtown (you pick it). There are lots of things to see, the usual and the unusual in the downtown area. Look for somebody in a yellow jacket (official city guides) if you get lost or just want some random information. They will be happy to help.
Did you know that lions roar somewhere along the streets? In cooler temperatures you can see their breath (see the picture). Can you find them?
Wander among structures, old, new and under construction. Check out the funky, colorful graphics that adorn fences dividing construction areas from the flow of pedestrians and cars. Marvel at the massive sculpture in front of the bank tower. Architecture in all forms abounds. It's a fine place to people watch. Do these things, all the while being aware that lions watch for the unwary.
Leave a comment if you find them, or if you can't.
Namaste, Wayne
