It usually takes me a few months, sometimes up to six months, to make a determination on whether a program is a scam or genuine. I join virtually every program I come across, just to test it and be able to report on it. With Agloco (formerly AllAdvantage), I joined on May 4, 2007 and have already determined it to be a scam. I do not recommend this program to anyone.
The first red flag for me was Agloco's convoluted "payment" program. Supposedly, members would eventually earn stock shares in the company, if and when, it went public. Those shares could then be converted to money. (For more details on the payment scheme, and a well written review of it from the stock trader's perspective, I encourage you to read the article, "Agloco: What Everyone Ought to Know" at tradersnarrative.com.)
Agloco claimed its viewbar was in "beta testing" during 2006 and 2007. This also set off a red flag for me because the code to create a view bar is easily accessible and it should not take nearly a year to beta test a product with proven, open source code available.
The company advertised that it would initiate a limited release of its viewbar according to the join date of members. Members would only receive credit for the first five hours of surfing though. On June 6, 2007, Agloco invited me to download my viewbar and I did so. Today I opened my Viewbar for the second time and received the error message, "Your viewbar has expired."
It seems so has the Agloco e-mail servers and site. I tried to report the error, but Agloco's e-mail servers couldn't accept the message. I visited the Agloco site at www.agloco.com (not made a link on purpose), but the site was gone. I have tried through out the day to load the site but I continue to get the message:
The connection has timed out.
The server at www.agloco.com is taking too long to respond.
* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
Many people believed Agloco's advertising, but advertising can be misleading. This company serves as an example of why I do not post referral links to program I have not already been paid by or personally know someone who has been paid by, and I encourage others to adhere to the same policy.
