Surveys and Organization

I'd love to know too. And which ones are Canadians eligible for?

I don't keep track of how much I earn or which surveys I particpate in. I do have a folder in my Internet Explorer favorites with all the survey websites I belong to in it.. that helps with organization a bit.

I use the Camino web browser (built for Macs) and have a bookmark envelope tab right on the bar which says "SVY". Then all the survey places appear in that list as I add them. I also keep an internet notebook and mark down when I score money or (sometimes) points. And I keep a shoebox to fill with my survey check stubs. But definitely check out SurveyPolice for their "Top Ten Best" and more percentage ratings. Have a happy and profitable week!

I've been doing the various survey's for about a year and have only started keeping track for maybe the past 6 mo or so?? I published something last month which has a list of the surveys I participate in and how much i have earned for each survey. I just keep track in a Word document.. nothing fancy... good luck with it!

Well good question.My husband works on computers for a living and does programming and web design for me.He is currently designing me a program and a website which one day we hope to share and give axcess for others to use as well.In the meantime I have file folders labeled with the companies names on.Mainly the ones who I get paid best by.(Pinecone, surveyspot, HCD and so on) I also made a folder for paypal payments pertaining to surveys.A folder for gift cards recieved, miscellanious.Product test and focus groups.Then when I take a survey I document the survey name, number, date taken and if there was an incentive.I write that on a notepad with the name of the company.So if I do a food survey for surveyspot that pays 3.00.I'll write all that info down for the day.I try to orginize them on paper, or enter them in a spread sheet later.Then I check my payments later for the month or when I cash out with a company and compare it to the sheets.If somethings not there I know it.That's pretty much what I do.I keep track of the companies web addy,what type of company it is (ptp-ptr-survey).I also mark down any other helpful company info like if they have a minimum payout and how they pay etc..I found that signing up with well over a 100 companies some people have better luck with certain companies some turn to crap in no time or just aren't worth the effort.I also usually keep track of when I cash out and how long the check takes.Is it a point system, is it prizes, drawings and so on.I've really started becomming more detail after I lost a login to a site and had problems with a supposedly good company.They had the worst customer service in my opinion though.I've been taking surveys and researching work at home jobs for almost 3 years now.Still having trouble getting a good work at home job through a legit company though.(either I'm not qualified enough or wont hire me because I'm not in there state..PA sucks for WAHJ)Each site is different for each person and the demographic there in so my best company may not be someone else's.So, just keep that in mind when your friends ask.I've also generalized an email with some links, refferals and alittle bit about certain companies for my friends or family who are interested and that way you can get refferal credit off of ones you can.I hope that helps alittle bit.

I use methods I found in a book called The Moms Guide to Earning and Saving Thousands on the Internet. I also use all the links and companies that were found in there. I think I actually found the book thorough Gather at one point by someone else recommending. Anyways, it's very good and has helped me earn a few hundred already.

I bookmark all of the sites through Roboform which stores usernames and passwords. I have started bookmarking the sites themselves through my google toolbar because those bookmarks are stored on the internet and available on any computer I use.

As for earnings, after reading an article on Gather, I have set up an Excel spreadsheet where I list my actual earnings by month. If it is merchandise, I put what it is and the approximate dollar value. This is only my second mpnth but so far it seems to be working out.

You guys sound like you've all found great ways of keeping track of the earnings from sites. I know of someone on here that is really into things like that as well - you might want to ask her. I've been participating in quite a few survey and points programs for awhile now, and I'm kicking myself for not keeping track of things better like you guys do! All I know is that I really like to do them because now that I'm a SAHM, I can earn a little extra cash or get some free things in the mail to help out the financial situation while the baby is napping and I'm not doing a million other house related things.

Faith - don't kick - just start keeping track. I only started following the details of the money in January. It was a disappointing month except for the Microsoft Office software that I got for free. I probably wouldn't have realized how bad it was if I hadn't been keeping track.

I have a good one that is available for Canadians. It's called Netwinner. Its a game based one where you win points for matching numbers. Kinda like a lottery type thing. I have been keeping track in my journal. I used to keep track on my computer but my husband kept doing things and all the info i had saved would be deleted or go missing. It got really annoying. I also write down when I cash out at places and when I take surveys, how much they paid ect. Its been working out pretty good so far.

I don't keep track of surveys. I need some of you guys to come down and organize my life.

Leah, I have no idea which ones work for people living in Canada, but I bet somebody on here does. I am just really getting into it myself. I love it though. I love it almost as much as Gather.

Jenny, visionaerie, Lisa, Jenna, Sam, Nanci, Faith, Lisa and Amanda, thank you for all of your good ideas and tips. I just use a little notebook divided into sections for now, but I can see that I am going to need to get way more organized. I ralyy appreciate the way help is only a posting away on Gather.

I don't use anything right now but I am going to do what my mom does. She uses a notecard holder and puts each website on their own notecard with her username, password, and other relevant stuff just for that site. I really like the idea but I am afraid my husband will make fun of me.

I am starting to try and figure out a system that works for me. But then ya'll will publish a list of sites that are new to me and I end up with little notes everywhere on my desk!

I did finally design a spread sheet for all of the many user names and passords though, maybe I could just add a monthly tally colum....hmmmm.

i have never thought of getting this organized till i found all this on gather so i have started writing things down. I have not got paid that much 3 from pinecone 1 from survey spot. But i have not been at this all that long, i have several that are points related but have not had enough to go ahead and cash them in. Thanks for all the tips.

I don't really keep track.... I'm an unorganized slob, lmbo. I have only found a couple survey sites that even send out surveys very often that I'm even eligible for.

I don't keep track. Even though I'm sent invitations for surveys its rare that I actually qualify.

I keep track of all the payments I have recieved from surveys, take pics or screenshots of them, upload them on photobucket and then post them in the payment proof section of my blog. I also have a "surveys - Completed" folder in my email where I put all the surveys I have completed just in case I don't get credited for it I can go back and send them the information about the survey. I also have a total earnings section on the sidebar of my blog that I try to update everytime I get paid... Then I state the total I have earned to date from taking surveys. I try to keep track of what I can not only for me but for other survey takers or people interested in taking surveys so they can see that those particular survey sites have paid me.

I need help! All of you are so excited about the survey sites and I think I'm a member of almost every one of them one time or the other. I never qualify for any of them. I feel like i waste my time answering and then be told. Sorry, you do not qualify. Please help me see what I am doing wrong and how to start making money with the survey sites. God bless you!

Cathie, did you try Legerweb surveys? Theynever tell that you don't qualify for a survey and they pay between $1 and $5 for each ones. They will also give you $1 for each person you refer and answer his profile survey.
