I've worked in countless jobs, often in customer service capacities, and have never, ever, been told I could not wish someone any holiday greeting. It has always been my choice to include as many as possible, since we celebrate so many at this time of year, and I like to include them all. Still, no matter which seasonal greeting I toss out, I have never received anything in return but a smile and merry wishes.
It's kind of fun to hear "Mazeltov!" or "L'chaim!" in response to "Merry Christmas."
I think Bill's Spirit has the coolest wish... "chrismakkwanzadanstice" or something like that...
It is wonderful when you wish someone a merry christmas. It has so much more meaning than have a nice day.
Keep wishing all Merry Christmas.
Now, Sue, you can say "God bless you" and you know that.
