RANT: Is it just me......

I've been coming onto Gather every other day lately and when I come on, it's nothing to comment on, no one is writing anything that's interesting anymore.  I'm sure a lot of you are and I probaly come on at the wrong time but it's not that exciting anymore to me, it's just boring, in my opinion. 

Does anyone feel this way?

Nah...I still find lots of good things to comment on....I just don't comment if it doesn't interest me unless it is someone I feel a little closer to...Sometimes you do have to dig a little though....Good to see you! :)

It's sad to say but all the hatred from the elections and prop 8 has cost the site, I think we will rebound.

Nope, I still find lots of stuff to comment on. If I'm not interested, I driveby 10 all my connections content that displays in my feed (where ratings are turned on).

I struggle sometimes to find stuff that is super interesting to me. I try to do db 10's on most of my friends stuff, and then I search around for stuff that is interesting. Sometime I think that I've just been on too much.

And I am not saying that I only give my friends 10's because their stuff isn't interesting, because sometimes it is, and I just don't have a lot of time to comment - toddler in the house!

I think I'm a little bored and need a break. I do notice people are not posting as much stuff. Maybe everyone is in the after-Christmas slump.

Sometimes I feel that way when I just need to take a bit of a break from gather. Or sometimes when I feel that way it will inspire me to write something more interesting in hopes of sparking some good conversation~

I like to explore when I have the time. I click on posts at the top or photos and look at some of the things by people I haven't met yet. When all else fails it's time to post something yourself and have them come to you!

I've been on vacation, so am not able to post photos. I've done a few updates. I've only had computer access some days, not others. I miss you all!

I agree, this site is fizzling when it comes to good writers there are a few things worth reading but not very much. The photos are whats keeping me here for now.
yup. I think it is fizzling as far as good writing is concerned, only a handful left. I read only what interests me and I seem to have lost interest in posting anything at the moment. Maybe the others will come back soon.

Well, I will admit that I have not done as much commenting as I used to. With getting a cold on top of recovering from bronchitis and being pregnant, it just seems like my energy is lacking. I still comment when I see an article I feel like commenting on, but I have noticed that there is A LOT of junk in the main feed such as advertisements.

Maybe you are experiencing burn out and need to get away from it for a while and do something else, I was gone almost a year and would only come in to approve things to my groups now and then. Then one day something re fired my interest and I am enjoying it all again.

There are very few writers left on this site. You can still find some good writing, photos and videos on here, but you often have to wade through the muck and mire to get there.

Unfortunately, there are plenty of people who post OSAs, games, copy-and-paste rubbish, stolen photos, email forwards and miscellaneous other drivel... all for the sake of points. Some even seem to think of Gather as a "job."

try doing a search for a subject you're interested in
and then click on post, or photo, or video and you'll
find lots to check out and comment on.
Also,
take time and write some articles on a subject you like
so others will have something new to comment on, too.

I find a lot of posts that are interesting. The only problem I have is with photos. I love looking at photos but lately, they haven't been interesting at all.

I think after awhile I was getting burnt out on Gather and now found that it's better for me to just pop on every now and then. That way I also allow more posts and photos to be added and have more to choose from.

I'm trying to catch up on all the comments people have made on my stuff, so I just keep visiting other people's pages to find new stuff. I haven't written anything new lately though.

i dont get bored with anything. if i get tired of something i just move on to the next thing on my list of things. life aint never boring.
