I did most of mine at the Borders bookstore here in town with my gather gift cards. If I'd had all $50 gift cards instead of all $10 cards, I would have done it online though since they have free shipping over $25. My thought for what I will do next year, I hope! :-)
Spent another $160 today... plus sent a $25 BORDERS card to my lil sis. Hard to believe it took the effort it did to get 1600 points. I don't know how the 3000 points a month folks are doing it.
Half of my shopping was done on Gather! I am giving some gift cards to people as gifts (it's better than getting the wrong thing and them returning it!)
i did most of my shopping in the stores that are not in a mall, like Lowe's, Target, TJ Max, Kohls, Old Navy, Best Buy, Walmart... If I could get my family onboard, we'd all have online lists, and do online shopping.
Ah, interesting, well... I did some online but since I didn't have money until recently I had to save, wait and then wait more in line at Walmart and Target!!
We don't have a mall. I think that our shopping was mostly online. There were some little things that we got here and there. To be honest, it was/is a pretty lean Christmas.
I got some great deals at circut city this year at the Black friday sale. I also got some great deals online at deepdiscount during Cibor monday. I also got a lot of great deals last year at target and walmart that I used this year. Looking forward to the after Christmas sale this year too.
I did all of it online. I didn't have much shopping to do, plus the prices I found (I used Amazon.com) were cheaper than anywhere in the stores for what I needed to buy. I also got free shipping which saved me some gas.
Yes, I'd say a pretty good balance of online (Amazon) and local shops (we do have a lot). But I'm still waiting for my electronic bird song book, which I sent for back on Sept. 18 (Amazon). I was hoping to test it out in lieu of getting another for a friend. So there are definitely pitfalls along with the convenience of the online approach. Thanks for posting this!
