I am teaching a class on how to write your own Autobiography.
I am having fun with it but did not realize the work involved.
I am providing all the material needed, so I am copying everyone’s material as I type this post. And I don't know what I was thinking LOL
I have never taught any kind of class before and I am working right along with the class so that I am writing my own Autobiography with the class.
I think the lesson I have learned is:
DON'T CUT YOURSELF SHORT!
I thought since I was new to teaching I shouldn't charge that much, so I am only charging $ 10.00 per student Mind you these are residents of the RV park I am staying in for the winter.
Anyways I am rambling on I have a question about the above madness.
This is what I want to ask you!
If you were offered to be taught a class on writing your Autobiography with all materials provided.
And by the end of the class each student will have one bonded copy of their completed Autobiography.
Anyways how much would you be willing to pay to take such a class?

Jewel the charge would depend on how long the class (course) will last -
How many weeks?
What all material are you providing?
Are you having the results bound at your cost?
I would say at least $5 per day of class - so if it lasts a month @1 class a week, it would be either $20 or $25 for the month.

No the cost is a set cost for the whole class and you are correct the fee is way to low but live and learn.
I have posted this topic on different sites I write on and have gotten alot of nice responses.
Baylee I am thinking about starting an online class and I all ready have a web site so as soon as I get a fee figured out and how I will run the class I will let you know.
I am thinking I could post the lessons on the web site that would be available to paying members only so people that have paid to take the class. anyways and then people can work on the assignments and email them to me once a week.
The web site I have available also allows a chat room so I would be available certain times on certain days if any questions arose. and we would also hold a chat class once a month or weekly I am not sure on that. anyhow I will start working on that and let everyone know when it is available.
