Freedom as a "word" drummed into the heads of the citizenry, has been taken by too many to mean selfishness and excessive pride, in thinking of what they have in relationship to those who do not have, neither freedom or enough wealth, to even survive day to day ... we are told to wave our flag and be proud of our country in the name of freedom and doing good for others, that it is our "goodness" in the form of our willingness to set goals and work for our future, that has made us prosperous and great, that anyone can succeed and be very wealthy, or even become the president of the nation by gosh ... follow in the footsteps of GWB ... if he can do it anyone can.
Our earth world is now just too electronically and transport interconnected to any longer ignore the plight of so many that live in "third world" conditions ...
It is past time for "nationalisms" to exist, based upon dog eat dog competition and the concept of dualistic divisions between winners and losers (+/-) where those on the "wrong" (-) side of the divide (/) are considered less, because they are deemed lazy and therefore deserving of less in every way, even death by disease, starvation, and genocidal wars.
The examples that this nation shows to the world, what we actually do in reality, not what we "tell them" in propaganda lies, has basically amounted to, "do as I say, not as I do" ...as the message sent out to all.
9/11 should be a glaring example of such "blow back" repercussions ... but our leadership in their duplicity, lies to us yet and tells us it was only because "they" hate our freedoms ... the truth being that "they" hate our excesses, which come from the freedom of our multinational corporations to make deals with corrupt leaders set up by our wealth in "their" third world nations, to rape the land and people of natural resources at "their" expense (losers) for our gain (winners) ...
The capitalistic "game" of life in the form of "big business" is highly "rigged" and lied about ... most of the rest of the world knows this and highly resents it ... we here in our nation prefer to believe what we are told by our leadership ... that we are good, would do no such harm to others in the world, and that it is only, because they are lazy and ungrateful for all we done for them, do they hate us ... and thus they deserve everything bad that happens to them ...
We promote the flag waving, our young sign up to "pay them back" and off to war on terrorism we go, to conquer the world and make it free again ... free enough for the multinationals to continue raping as before ... business as usual ... out of sight out of mind ... what a way to run a world.
World is a key word here ... it is our world AND it is their world ... we share it physically ... we know that, yet we seek to better the powerful ones, as we make the others weaker, by competition rather than cooperation world wide. Somehow we think that the neglected will "just go away" ... but they will not ... but they will, bite back, like 9/11 ... and like the "gorilla action" going on where our military is now active ...
Our actions in this world are allegorically like the human body brushing it's teeth, combing it's hair, washing it's face and smiling in the mirror saying "how nice" ... while having ignored wiping it's butt ...
What is now "out of sight" and now "out of mind" ... cannot be ignored forever, it is a connected part of the whole body (world) and must be properly maintained ... or it can (will) eventually turn cancerous and destroy the whole body (world) ...
We have ALL been DIVIDED mentally by propaganda in every way to think that dualistic competition between the "good guys" (winners)(our head and face) can go on forever, where the "bad guys" (losers) (our butts) can be ignored completely ... as IF there were no real connection, either physically ... or spiritually ... the latter being actually really more important than the former.
There is an unseen "leadership" hiding behind it's excessive wealth, wealth that provides them power and benefit, they reside in anonymity pulling the strings of the purchased leadership we have elected, the very puppets provided from above, in so many cases, for us to "think" that they were actually selected and chosen from the bottom up by us, rather than the top down by "them", that via long range planning by "their" think tanks.
The point I hope to make, is that these hidden leaders, out of sight, act like god(s) all-powerfully pulling the strings of control here on earth ... if they are, or were, "gods", they would be the "evil" kind ... because they only have concern for their own bottom lines and ultimate survival of them and theirs ... to hell, they think, with the rest of this world ... as "they" live in a MATERIALISTIC "heaven" ... and so many others here on earth do live in a materialistic hell. (+/-)
This is all because of dualistic competitive advantage based upon the method of hiding out of sight manipulating those others below in a "divide and conquer" ploy, where both "sides" of that resulting division BELOW (+/-), are actually controlled by what they are told and what they are given, to relate to each other on a competitive basis ... even calling each other the "enemy" (conservatives against liberals ?) ... all the while, most important, the real movers and shakers above, control it all out of sight basically.
The excessive evidence of "them" is occasionally seen, mostly on TV programs, as opulent riches in the world such as huge yachts anchored in exotic tropical locals around the world and life styles, even above that of the "Rich and Famous" that the TV program has shown us ... which of course are meant for us to believe that if we stay focused (on the treadmill), that we also can live like them ... uh huh, sure thing.
Bottom line, end of story, the REAL TRUTH :
That is all the playing out of a rigged duality (+/-) called healthy competition ... winner/loser.
There REALLY IS a GOD ... we call it God (+) ... God has a SPIRIT (=) that is everywhere, even right INside of us all, interconnecting the entire world and universe together ... that, world physicality, is what we see as creation in the objective physical sense, what would be (-) in relationship to God and Spirit ... all together a TRINITY of (+=-) ...
THAT IS THE TRUTH OF OUR UNIVERSE ... a COOPERATIVE SPIRITUAL TRINITY ... (+=-) ... NOT a dualistic competitive winner/loser (+/-).
The Spirit (=) [of God (+)] ... bridges the voids between man (-) and that which is truly heavenly and truly good ... WANTS US ALL TO BE PROSPEROUS IN EVERY WAY !!!
That is the MOST IMPORTANT message we should all learn ... IF ... we really want a better world for our offspring ... it is really our choice whether we wipe our butts or not ... ain't nobody else gonna do it for us ...

We need to quit relying on outside authorities and institutions to "save" us and/or take care of us ... the Spirit is found withIN and it will direct each of us to what is best for each while at the same time helping the whole ... our futures are vitally dependent upon this ...
That kind of puts an end to shutting down capitalism as a functional system though doesn't it?
Jerry I see that you are a natural libertarian and free thinker but in my opinion you are creating evils in the wrong place. For instance:
In a capitalist society people have freedoms that allow them to create technologies that can change our lives. Capitalism is based on the consumer. In order to be successful, those evil greedy corporations are forced to find ways to create products that make life easier, cheaper and better. Sounds like a great plan. to me. It's no wonder America is so great and that rivaling countries who are close to our prosperity are those that mimic our great plan. Be proud!
I only want people, all that can, to begin to seek a sense of spiritual interconnectedness ... in my view this will take a seeking "withIN" rather than going to outside sources such as religion ... I say this because that is what has worked for me ... that gives me trust in an over-all universal spiritual "mind" that our own intuition is connected with via our own Soul ... that is the connection that is about truth and love, unconditional at the source ... via IT we need not give up anything except selfishness, knowing that God will provide for all that we need ... and probably even more.
With such an inner arrangement, evil actually disappears for the individual for all practical purposes as Spirit intervenes and allows a "friendly" relationship without becoming the other ...
It is really all about balance, all things in moderation, the Golden Rule in perfection. It is our best hope IMnsHO.
"Do as I say, not as I do?" True leaders lead by example. If what they do works, the rest of the world will follow. We all must show respect for other cultures and their form of government; and never try to force them to be like us, even if it's better, before we can even hope to have a civilized dialogue between us. Winston Churchill once said, "Democracy is the worst form of government ever created, except for all the others."
Yes, there are self-serving opportunists everywhere taking all that they can, any way they can to get what they want. This holds true for every country on the planet. There are still third world countries in a state of hopelessness; people dying every day from malnutrition, genocide, disease, and neglect. There are countless billions of dollars in aid that the United States and other countries have sent to these countries. I hope that Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, and others apply their business skills to helping these people to eventually being self-sufficient; otherwise they will eventually become a statistic. No country can support those huge numbers indefinitely.
The bombing of Pearl Harbor became a day remembered in infamy. The two towers of The World Trade Center was another attack on our country, this time from organized, fanatical brain washed reprobates. They exist separate from any one country lurking about in the dark without any one country affiliation that anyone can point a finger at. Nothing, absolutely nothing can justify what these monsters did to all of us in New York City and other targets around the world. The United Nations needs to reevaluate their position and the United States needs to make it clear to the world that we, with/or just a few other countries will no longer be the world's policemen. I think there's more to this terrorism than meets the eye. I wonder who else is funding these terrorists.
What would we buy from them if NOT their oil? It is to their advantage to sell and us to buy. Otherwise, we could drill in Alaska, off shore in California, and anywhere else we can find it. Without our country's oil reserves what becomes of our economy and national security? Europe was paying $5.00 per gallon (now $9.00) when we enjoyed gas at $1.50.
China's people were riding millions of bicycles, but now can afford cars, with now the price of oil in the U.S. resulting in supply and demand.
If anyone listened decades ago to what some of us were saying, perhaps we wouldn't need oil for our survival now. Also, we need to realize the reality and ramifications of changing over to alternate forms of energy. I think ethanol is a mistake; fuel cells and hydrogen is yet not ready for primetime.
Oil related industries employ millions of people who will surely be displaced when a new form of fuel is decided upon. Until that happens we should focus on the best long-term solution, otherwise we could forget to wipe our butt, creating yet another problem down the road.

Yes, we all experience this every day from selling ideologies, to products and brands, to marketing of any thoughts and ideas to manipulations of the facts, and downright lies. We experience this from our families, neighbors, friends, and business associates to every corner of this world. How can we expect anything else from world governments? With God in His Light we can see the truth; without God what's the point for anyone to do the right thing? And now chaos has become our companion.

Yes, that's why when I hear snake-oil salesmen, whether they are Democrat, or Republican, etc., I cringe knowing that there is no difference. We elect the one who we like the most instead of the substance of their character and the value of their life, work, and experience. They're not a Superman, or anyone with supernatural powers. Hopefully, they do have wisdom, knowledge, and an inner duty that puts their country ahead of their own personal gain. Some are career politicians living the life of Riley at the expense of taxpayers while catering to the special interests. That's not to say that they don't do anything for the people or their country – that's part of the game while they climb the ladder to their personal success and wealth. There are a few however who do aspire to a higher calling and in doing so CAN make a difference. It's contingent upon all of us to know the difference and choose wisely.

No doubt – they have all the money, power, and influence to make things happen for good or evil. Consciously, or subconsciously, governments, corporations, and leaders, and some people in general, subscribe to the philosophy of "survival of the fittest." They know, all too well, that it can go away faster than it took to build – and it could, not at the least with bad management, but with man's obsession with weapons of mass destruction.
Unfortunately, unless we get out of the tunnel, recognize the symptoms, and do something about the problem, we're headed into more chaos until the bubble bursts.
In the Light there is no tunnel vision.
You've perfected the formula, and expressed it perfectly!
It made me laugh and smile from ear to ear reading it. Happiness!!!
Perhaps you and Larry Mason should team up. Your knowledge and his knowledge could be a really practical way to go.
Larry wrote the book, "Invisible Hand". I think the two of you should have a talk.
Yes, I really do want to read Larry's book. I have it book-marked in my favorites, but I have been able to do very little reading lately, I am way behind on that. I do believe that he, like myself, really has an interest in helping this world find a better way ... and a world that seems to value money as this one does, could sure use some revamping of the system for the greater good for sure ... I encourage him to keep promoting it and am glad to hear that you have read it and recommend it ... all the more reason for me to notch it up higher on my "need to do" list.
