The anti-Muslim message is now everywhere. Very slickly done in many cases with video and music, indicating a well planned think tank effort. I live in a very remote red area of a red state and most people here just assume you think like they do ... so much 'material' comes to our attention that is very 'red' and very religiously fundamentalist ... of course there is also the right wing sentiments found on Gather to back all of this up ... people are being indoctrinated for a huge culture clash (to put it mildly) ... There are countless religious peoples that look forward to it all as the fulfilment of prophecy and the end of time prior to a second coming of their saviour ... there are countless 'new-agers' that also have a version that predicts an end of time as we know it for our near future. I myself have had spiritual experiences of a non-religious nature that have very strongly indicated to me that we are in for very rough times beyond our present ability to foresee. Spirit has told me to tell others ...that being my mission in life now. I have studied deeply into so much literature, much of it very rare, esoteric and very old ... and much very current in comparison. So much of it all indicates a cosmic cycle coming around like a universal season that comes only in thousands of year cycles ... periods of time beyond what the orthodox leadership allows as even possible. There are people in power and control that are very aware of what I am here saying ... they do not want the idea to catch on, because it will not 'yet' work to their advantage to the degree they would prefer. Most will reject the idea, but there are spiritual realms involved in all of this ... it is a huge event on the cosmic cycle scale, and the eventual control of this planet is at stake ! Many people see it as a coming final battle between good and evil ... and most of those 'think' they know which 'side' is which. I believe most of them will be very disappointed in their predictions for themselves in that regard. So, there are many indications for a coming one world government ... and it will most likely be one that only those in charge will enjoy. Those in charge prefer to remain anonymous as best that they can ... and they do so very well. They are not really religious, political, patriotic, or even nationalists ... yet they will manipulate everyone they can with those 'tools'. They see themselves as 'above' all of that. Someone above suggested that in this country the middle class would have to be done away with in order to consolidate the control better at the top ... they seem to be well on their way in making that happen. Those of us the most out of touch with these concepts will completely reject it all ... they will continue to deny this and defend their preferred 'leadership' ... they have a lifetime indoctrination of picking the 'winning team' to get behind, root on and support ... many of them see their political preference as something like that with team loyalty and all. If and when (and I believe it will be sooner rather than later) we and our one or two 'allies' decide to widen this present 'war' into Iran ... there will be hell in the streets here at home ... then martial law will be declared along with compulsory military obligations ... those that resist will be locked up ... many will try to flee, but will find that those that would accept them in the past will no longer do so. I realize this (what I am saying here) is too far out, just the rantings of a loony ... but I care less how I am taken in that regard, but feel that this all needs to be considered by ever more people ... not only for their own sake, but for that of the nation, and especially that of the world. Personally, I am at peace with God about all of this. I am only doing the bidding of spirit now. I would hope that more would come to find the peace of the truth that will set them free ... the sooner the better, we can all use the help ... things are going to get very difficult for each and all. Spirit Calls ... a voice from the wilderness
It seems as though every time I mention this to someone, they've felt the same way as well, so we're clearly not alone. In fact, I would bet that the majority of souls currently in this plane are of similar mindsets. The problem is that we are fractured, rather than united, so our strength is marginalized and minimized. This is no accident, of course.
I believe it is up to this nation to lead the world from it's obsession with the material, and to a higher spiritual level, but it surely will never happen as long as "we" continue to support that which we know in our hearts and souls is wrong.
We're in for some rough times, indeed, although I personally believe it likely that economic collapse will be the stimulus, not an expansion of conflict in the middle east (although that will undoubtedly play a role).
The first time that I encountered someone that really touched on this was when I met a middle-aged fellow several years ago. I don't recall how we started talking about it, but he started telling me about his quest to force the government to re-instate the gold and silver standards for currency.
He told a tale that sounded more like it was from a movie than from real life. I don't remember how he got started on this, but he became obsessed with the fact that the federal reserve is an unconstitutional organization, and how our currency is nothing more than a promissary notes.
He'd asked numerous attorneys to handle a case for him to sue the federal government, in order to abolish the federal reserve. Each lawyer he spoke with agreed with him and told him that he had a rock solid case, but not a single one would have anything to do with the case, out of fear for their careers and lives.
With that, he set off on his own, gathering information to bring his case together. At one point, he'd been stalled while looking for some specific information that he'd been unable to find. One day, he walked into the library, and without even knowing why, went directly to a specific aisle that he'd never been to before, randomly grabbed a book from a shelf, opened it, and the answer that he'd been seeking was on the page before him. Pretty cool stuff.
Anyway, he went on with his story, and the more he told me, the more I got chills thinking about what he was saying. Finally, I said (jokingly) "this sounds like a battle between good and evil."
He replied "It is."
I went numb with his response. Up until that point, I'd never considered any of what he was telling me, and it was such a shock that my mind was literally spinning.
I asked him what "we" could do, and his response was "Become as informed and enlightened as you possibly can, keep yourself open to whatever is presented to you, hold close to those you love, and know that the answer is love.
From there, I began to study many different avenues, trying to assimilate as much information as I could that could help me in some way. I've read about religions from around the world, and have read and/or listened to just about every self development guru on the market. The message is the same. The answer IS love.
So, while our leaders continue to bomb and kill those who had the shameless audacity to be born and raised on top of "our oil," while millions of people are starving to death (and an estimated $40-$50 billion annually could END world hunger), while hundreds of thousands are murdered through genocide, while we continue to stockpile material possessions so that our neighbors don't outspend us, while religious leaders call out for the assassination of democratically elected world leaders and call upon their followers to hate gays, we draw ever closer to a moment of great awakening.
We're very fortunate to be here at this time, because what lies ahead is of tremendous importance. We're here either to take part in, or witness what is to unfold in the near future. Nobody knows for sure what that will be, but most of us could agree that it may well be a terribly chaotic period, in which many millions may perish through war, rioting, starvation, or disease. Certainly, many will be imprisoned as well, as the powers that be desperately try to control that which they cannot. Through it all, we have to try to remain clear and focused, and know that the answer, as we've been told over and over again, is love.

I would say that the 'man' you met who spiked your interest, is much the same person that you, I, and others here are now, just spreading the best truth that we can in the hopes that others will wake up also ... eventually it is meant to progress at an exponential rate of change.
As the 'other' (less desirable) changes also take place at their own exponential rate in the direction of destructiveness and the ever increasing stresses put personally upon those most in need to a change to the direction of love, they too will turn 'around' of their own accord ... but for some of the more stubborn ones, their will be great trauma, even death, in the coming times.
Those of us that find it withIN ourselves to go to the love, will be on the correct path, and knowing of the Truth (Love) that sets one free, we can go through the 'changes' with great positive anticipation with a full appreciation for the 'experience' it will afford us.
I have been told that these times that are well upon us, are like two trains pulling out of the same station in opposite directions ... we have to make a choice as to which one we want to get on ... before they leave ... or pick up so much speed that it will become impossible to catch either. (it was said that we actually have one foot and one hand already upon each of those 'trains', and we are being pulled and stretched into making the choice of which one we want to stay upon) ... one is headed for unconditional love of God ... and the other is headed for ever more Fears, Hatreds, and damnation.
It is our duty and internal desire to decide which train is which ... which is the Eternity that we seek ... which 'train' has the real Truth that we desire deep down inside ... regardless of what the 'outer' signs on the trains are telling us as to where they are headed.
Many people are already on each train that they have come to believe is their 'salvation', they have followed the signs that their society has placed on those trains and added their own signs ... but none of those 'outer' signs are all that accurate, they are misleading and often blatantly even false.
Only God really knows, and God only suggests to each of us via our own INner INtuition ... coming right from the depths of our Soul in what has been called the 'Still Small Voice' ... Will enough listen ???
Soon the rate of change between the two 'trains' will be such that one will find it ever more difficult, if not impossible to get on the one that will benefit them the most ... Love or Fear ... and it will be Spirit that will assist you in your direction of choice ... the ultimate choice is ours ... it is a free choice, always has been, Spirit on the one will be found to be good ...Spirit on the other, not so ... unless one really enjoys the fear, hatreds, separations and greeds of ego's run amok ... there will come a point in time that the ones they hate will be well on their way to the 'other' destination ... leaving only the 'like thinkers' together with each other to enjoy each others company ... then ... when it is too late to reconsider as each of those two trains are going out of sight of each other... it will found out whether those on each ... really do enjoy each others company ... when for the very first time there is NOT the OTHER to Blame for the situation they each now find themselves in alone with ONLY like thinkers ... in no way with the 'moderating' 'blend' of the 'other' ... for what ever that just might be worth. It will become very evident after it is too late ... I wonder if the ones choosing fear will have no regrets ? ... whatever, it will have been due to their freewill choice ... everyone has that personal freedom to decide.
The INner Truth of your own Spirit ... or the OUTer facts called truth, by the leaders of our 'society' ... that will be the choices that determine which train we end up on.

You are so correct ... the "peace and human rights" part is the kicker ... I believe that the world government that is now in charge (behind the scenes) could care less about those qualities you mention ... they are running that 'train' I would rather not buy a ticket to ...
The only way to get on the 'correct' train, is to use your best inner judgement on each and every decision ... God will do the rest. IMnsHO.
A few minutes ago I finished my first watching of The Teaching Company DVD titled "GREAT WORLD RELIGIONS: ISLAM". IT WAS PUT TOGETHER BY A FINE SCHOLAR , Professor John L. Esposito, of Georgetown University. I watched the DVD attentively, and read some of the notes. My next step will be to read the supporting book and then to watch the 12 lectures again and absorb some of Espositos concepts and historical guides. The Muslim/Islam issue along with similar deliberations about Judaism and Christianity, plus some careful 'look sees' at some of the larger Far Eastern Religions are important to reflect upon.When I feel that I have grasped some essentials of importance I will make better comments than I am able to submit, right now. But here, let me make just one that has to do with 'good and evil.'
Esposito notes in some of the later lectures about 'ISLAM' that a vast modernization and revisionist, religious and intellectual review has been underway for about a century now and there are challenges to older, so called 'conservative' inclinations probably in all Abrahamic Religions. It is important to retain a distinction between terrorists and the more traditional folk in ALL the Abrahamic Religions: Islam, Judaism, and Christian as one considers the key problems in today's world..
I think also that it is this scholar's opinion that the scope of concerns for the legal and the cultural are broadening worldwide for all religions too, as communications and science grasp the attention of us all on this planet of ours. There seems to be a simultaneous movement and a reach for INDIVIDUAL and SOCIAL consciousness growth and far deeper understandings than are presently at the fore of our quests for greater and greater understandings of one another. This is all reasonable conjecture given the Information and Communications Revolutions currently underway throughout our WORLD.
I am speculating here that there may be some hope to come due to the fact that this ever broadening of understanding may be a possible final solution, and it may very well be that modern mystical and scientific thought may usher in a period in which all persons of our world and all persuasions MAY soon find one another -- as brothers and sisters -- as war becomes seen as an absurdity and a violation of everything holy and wise.
Keep up yor wonderful work pushing and pulling those of us who are thinking and feeling about this possible prospect : TRASFORMING ideas of 'good and bad' into those of 'far better and fuller understanding and commitment' to a more universal standard for PEACE ON EARTH.'

But - Our Creator, and I'm not referring to a Christian God or any coventional organized religion's idea of God, has checks and balances. Life on earth has almost been eradicated from the earth in the past, by meteor collisions, disease, extreme changes in the environment, plagues, etc. The conditions being deliberately brought about to put all the power with just a few greedy and power-mad people, will have self-destructive elements in them. But, the evil will be eradicated with the good. Maybe some people of a kinder nature, like the San in the Kalihari desert, or aborigines in other remote places will survive. Maybe the Creator wants to replace us with a better model.

I know that I don't try to scare folks into shaping up - because everybody is on an "awakening schedule." I watch the great waves of awakening enter the planet - it's been about three big ones per year, and then smaller very specific ones as well. A great many beings are assisting humanity at this time.
Of course, as long as the majority of us still invest in dualistic thought and belief systems, we'll see the "good vs evil" scenario.....Or the Brotherhoods & Sisterhoods of Light vs the Dark Lodges.....
It's all a setup to grow human consciousness.
Seeing that humanity in general does its best creative problem-solving at the 11th hour, and we've got a dandy 11th hour deal looming over us now, well.........time to get visioning, and then grounding the visions. There are plenty and plenty of Guides to lead and encourage us through this testing-time in Earth School.
Those who are opening telepathically will be working with Nature Spirits, Devas, you know - the Little People, Nature Angels etc - whatever you call them - and those are the ones who will help us de-manifest toxic waste dumps and nuclear messes.
We have tremendous power waiting to be developed in our cores, and in our groupmind.
Remember that for every challenge the Universe poses us, there are always at least six positive potential futures. So the dreamers, the visioners, need to ask their guidance, ask for dreams, to show them the best potentials in which to invest their creative energies. Don't waste that good creative force on visioning disasters!
My set of visions - Dynamic Peace - is an example of activating and grounding a positive future potential. This set of visions has been given me over a number of years, and is very encouraging - very doable. Of course humanity may need to witness/experience more deaths, even mass deaths and earth changes, before being ready to do the "simple" Love/Co-creative Bioregional Peace Council thing....
But maybe NOT. Why shouldn't great numbers of us pray for the awakening - without mass suffering - of our brothers and sisters? POTLATCH PRAYER TIME. Give-away. Yes?
carolion. your plan for thinking peace is probably the better way to go ... but there is something for everyone, and I believe some just need to be a bit scared to prompt them towards something a little better. There is plenty to be afraid of, no doubt about that. In fact, there is so much more than most will allow themselves to even consider ... most are in denial because they feel so helpless to do anything about it all ... and it is thus, far more comfortable to ignore it and hope it will all go away.
But I also believe that the master plan of God (not the Christian concept especially Ruth) is to put enough pressure on us to make us eventually to question it all ... that is just a part of the massive polarization that has been taking place for some time now. Many people are just beating their heads against the wall (a euphemism), and when it becomes too painful, as it will with time, they will then reconsider and change their minds in finding the more true path. That old saying, 'no pain-no gain' does hold true in some circumstances.
For me, I'm looking for the colors.
I was in the Navy during WWII and I never met a 'shrinking WAVE'. After the war I met a few more 'once upon a time WAVE's' and again, never a 'shrinking one.' Check your incorrect ruler. Its bound to be wrong!
It seems to me that you should write a long, long comment about 'paths to love and affection among disperate persons. Your expweriences with the Oxford Group could easily set the stage for important new insights about 'ways to go from here'. We live in a challenging WORLD and the concepts that you note that shaped the operational philosophy of the Anglican Group, it seems to me, must have some sort of an ecumenical message precisely because its organizational features must have emerged from deep philosophic and theological bases.
Did you simply belong to the group, and/or did you work for them: job #7?

I know that Chamberlain's failure with Hitler had to do with lack of depth. To love-the-enemy correctly, one needs intuitives, visionaries, and dreamtime peaceful warriors. Just using good intentions does NOT cut it.
All the bad intentions directed at GWBush don't cut it, either. You are absolutely correct - "love is the most powerful best bet."
A group willing to sacrifice time and energy to go into depth, into some very high vibratory states, to send healing prayers on behalf of the U.S. Presidency itself, could work wonders.
The thing about Love, you have to know WHERE to send WHAT KIND of love, WHEN. That's why intuitives are needed.
The other sort of worker needed is the transformer - one who is initiated into the spiritual healing ability of transforming evil back into Original Source - the form of Love we call Healing power.

Just a matter of differing semantics, and I only mention it for the sake of other readers that might think there is disagreement where it is nonexistent.
I have been told, that in these times we are going through, that all will become known about the hereto-for 'secrets' that the nefarious ones have been holding from us.
For some most in denial, it may take a while longer to 'realize' ... but realize, all survivors will, in the end. It will make for very interesting times for those in the know, while others will experience ever increasing stress and fear. Karma will be settled and I pity the evil ones that hold out till the end ... but they will get no more trouble than they have caused in others ... some 'leaders' will have a lot to 'pay' for.
My prayers are for a big increase in courage, and for more humans to gain the understanding that fearing evil just increases it. Time to get all that "stuff" transformed into healing power, eh?
To be sure the middle class is threatened but I don't believe it will last.

You bring so much of the spiritual into your writing. I'm a little confused. Are you suggesting that those who believe the end of the world is coming are right? Or, are you referring to America?
So, you are going to put me on the spot huh ? :-)
I really do not know (of course) what is in store for us ... but I have been 'told' that we are in for tough times and those that think alike will enjoy each others company.
I have read an awful lot of old books, and new ones, the signs are that we are well into a special transition that is a part of cosmic (physical and spiritual) cycles that have happened before.
There is a form of 'contest' between the light and the dark going on, the future of our world is at stake ... yet I believe that there will be (at least) two outcomes ... one for those that are involved (knowingly or not) in the real light ... and the others that will remain delusion-ally self trapped in the darkness that is falsely claiming the light at the present time ... in cahoots with the darkness that does know better, and likes their choice just fine (at least so far).
World wide there are old books that claim spiritual insights, some of those messages are called prophecy ... most are written because someone believed they had a vision or some such, that fore-warned of things to come ... I believe that there is most definitely a subjective spiritual realm associated with our physical objective realm ... I believe it cares very much for us all and passes information on occasion to those that are open to it for the betterment of mankind as a whole.
Such information is not so much a forecast as much as it is an indication of what may well take place (happen) IF we do not change our thinking and our ways ... the idea is that IF these forecasts do NOT happen, that the message got through. Thus no available "proof" for the naysayers to be refuted ... unless of course the dire predictions did in fact come to take place ... at which point, times would be rougher for some than others ... but depending upon their value systems as to whether they placed importance on the subjective or objective, their preferences and outcomes would differ greatly.
Many may well die ... most will eventually anyway. Some deaths are worse than others ... some have an outlook about that, that differs considerably from that of others ... I personally believe I can accept death due to previews I have had of it on the spiritual~mystical levels.
I believe that the rate of changes towards some sort of climax are exponential. As such, many people in denial will find that they waited too long to 'prepare', they will be completely caught off guard, and it may be too late for some. But change will happen ... I believe that by 2012 it will be either evident to most or it may be even over ...
We will ALL look back from where ever we are, and know the world that we find ourselves in then is not the same one we knew it too be before.
The world as we know it will be vastly different ! It may even be gone for all I know, but maybe replaced with a new reality ... God works in strange and mysterious ways they say ... and I believe it.
And the truth of it all is held in the BET (+=-) as far as I am concerned ... meaning that anything is possible and if we are balanced with Spirit "=", it can even be rewarding and enjoyable ... I wish I could be more specific.
I do have a theory of sorts in mind that is pretty far out ... it is loosely based upon biology, involving "cell division" ... with all of the very noticeable 'polarization' going on that seems to be ever increasing of late, maybe there will be some kind of division in our future, where the opposing sides will get a new reality based upon just what they openly propose here and now up to that point of actual division ... ??? Maybe they will inherit a realm without the ones they now denounce in order to see just how that might play out for them ... ? One must have a spiritual sense to understand this concept.
I would like to think that those of us more spiritually "balanced" will come out the better for it in the end ... ?? Maybe as some kind of third party result more spiritual ...
So, just because you asked ... just some musings about potentials ... I have given all of this much thought, factoring in both the normal orthodox perspectives about earth reality as well as the more spiritual that I have been INvolved in for 13 years with a passion unexplainable for a 'normal' person.
The portion of the country that believes the world will soon end is not insignificant. It is troubling to realize that these people are making decisions that affect others. They may be involved in corporate strategy or in politics or in teaching or in all the trades that exist.
What do you think that this one belief does to their decision making abilities? What if we had a president, for example, who believed that the end was near and he had such an enormous ego that he saw himself as God's agent destined to bring about the rapture.
What I'm saying is that the belief, in itself, is a dangerous phenomenon and harbors the ingredients within it that could cause it to be a self fulfilling prophecy.
Your comment on cycles also caught my eye, reminding me of a book I once read on the subject which was very convincing in its efforts to show that they do, indeed, exist.

I'm giving English lessons since there's a writing contest afoot. When referring to people and animals as a subject, "who" is the correct attibutive.
One thing is certain: there is no such thing as prophecy. End of timers are crazy, but they're believers in the story. So much so they'll try to make it true. They'll fail. The real threat is much more concrete: pollution, extinction, and increasing manmade "natural" disasters. These things aren't civilization ending per se, but they make life that much more difficult, for some.
Drip drip drip...welcome to the warm world, which is the backdrop for my novel which was denied entry for a flawed reason: I'm already a published author. Not if two vanity press memoirs are the definition. People are flawed and make mistakes. Correcting them can take a long time.

David, what you say about , self fulfilling prophecy, has much merit … that is a fact for many. But I would hope that it does not suck in the rest of us that fortunately may see things otherwise … but as we create our own reality, we also co-create our shared reality … so it is sometimes hard to distance ourselves completely.
Mark, thanks for the 'correction', I will try harder to keep that in mind. I should know better but did not, I never paid enough attention in school … but I did learn how to spell 'attributive' :-). One thing is certain: there 'is' such a thing as prophecy … but it is only meant to warn us that if things continue on the course at the time it was given, that such things 'might' take place … the whole idea is that it is a 'warning' given, to get us to correct our course of action. Seldom do the receivers get the 'message' correct anyway … there is no accurate translation for messages between 'realms'. All things have a spiritual aspect … unless of course one believes otherwise … something for everyone.
I read the rules for that book contest as allowing 'self published' authors to participate … it caught my eye because I too am such … though my book is non-fiction and excluded for that reason. Good luck on your Novel anyway, the world really needs your message.

The only factor that makes "end-times" a possibility this time around is the actual ability of human beings to destroy themselves (ie nuclear weapons)
Some of us just move on ahead into "beginning time" thinking and visioning: the opening of the age of Peace, and the fifth world.
