This being the last days of summer I am out and about photographing wild berries, fungus, and seed heads among other things I find interesting.
The following photos were taken with my Olympus C2500L in macro during the month of August this year.
I find berries and seed heads and yes even fungus as pretty as flowers. Like these blueberries.

A good rule of thumb, white berries are not edible and are most often poisonous.

These may be a type of dogwood.

A green rose hip.

The seeds of a tree near the Taneum Creek.

These pretty little white flowers are a shot I forgot in my wildflower post.

Some type of leaf mold.

A lovely red fungus growing on the side of a tree.

May be what is called Red Pimple Fungus.

Another interesting seed head from a large bush.

Different white berries. Again not edible.

Ripe and ready. Rose hips growing near Montoon Pond here in Ellensburg. Rose hips are high in vitamin C and make a good tea.

I love cat tails the roots of these plants are edible.

Tall grasses are turning brown in the late summer heat. Looks beautiful with the wild daisies and the pond behind them.

The last two shots I like because of the green, white and red of the two different bushes.

Thanks so much for sharing with my group.
LOVELY collection. Too bad the white ones'll kill ya. They're purty. (I know, be-yoo-ty is only skin deep.)
Oh do they remind you of marshmallows ?
Thanks Tracy
I need to take another walk out in the woods and see what's out there.
