Taken in the Taneum area in Kittitas County, Washington State. The first two are of Thimble berry flower and buds. Thimble Berries look like pink raspberries. Not a Salmon Berry as I first stated. ( John Beck pointed out to me I was mistaken, Thanks John. )

I'm not sure what the next one is but it's a small bush.

A lupine.

My guess on this one would be a relative of the onion.

Another lupine shot.

Some people call this a wild sweet pea. It's the American Vetch.

Another photo of the bushes white flower clusters.

A daisy.
Here's another pretty wildflower I am not sure of. Maybe a White Hyacinth ?

Again with the American Vetch.

Wild rose bud with a bloom in the background.

The bud of the wild rose tends to be a deeper shade of pink. I have seen wild roses that were this color as well as almost white.

This is a yarrow just starting to bloosom.

The sweet pea ( American Vetch ) one yet again. I really like this tiny flower and it grows profusely.
A lighter pink rose bud.

A Mule Ear daisy.

Wow! You took some great shots, and you know what they are!!!!
Thanks Ann
no really I don't know what they all are.
Well you knew more of them than I did!!!
Your salmonberry looks so much like our thimbleberry that I had to look them up. The thimbleberry is Rubus parviflorus and the salmonberry is Rubus spectabilis.
Ya know what I think I had better check that out
Thanks John
Gorgeous photos! That vetch, we call it Crown Vetch here (not sure why?) but it is everywhere! They thought it a good idea to plant in medians on the highway and now its just everywhere!
Thes are growing on a forested hillside
Thanks Pamela

You're making me homesick. I lived in Eugene, OR for 12 years - and I miss the wildflowers. Once I found an albino wild iris...
Your pics are really good. I have trouble holding my camera still. Did you use a tripod?
btw leaf is wrong for hyacinth, I think. Damn! I used to know these. How quickly we forget!
I wasn't sure and I didn't really get the whole plant. My bad Thanjks Sarah
I was all set to hear the rest of Sarah's story about the albino wild irishman that she found in Oregon, and then she ellipsis-ed it!
I love wild flowers, these are all so pretty. I'm glad you know what most of them are, not that I'll remember their names but it's nice to know.
Thanks so much for sharing with my group.
Thanks Nana
I only know common names and some still stump me
Exotic captures. Wild flowers ar ewnderful.
volunteers are special aren't they ?
Thanks David
Beauty! I really miss Washington in the springtime... or anytime.
beautiful pictures
I want to be "a relative of the onion"... multi-layered, able to make people cry, but very tasty when properly prepared!
Vivian ,I love the wildflowers ,insignificant to some ,but so pretty. A great photo essay !
