Last week, I had been telling Kyleigh that I would be going on a business trip and not be home. She wasn't too happy about it, and kept asking me to take her with.
Once I got to San Francisco, I called to check on her (and my husband) every night. Kyleigh seems to be doing just fine. She still doesn't always eat well, but that's not any different when I was home. Kyleigh also seems to be ok with the early schedule (going to day care at 6:30 AM), except yesterday morning, because she stayed up too late watching TV the night before. Kyleigh was given her daily medicines on time, which was my biggest concern.
Yesterday evening, Daddy took Kyleigh to see a movie. I don't recall the name but it was something about meatballs. Daddy elected to watch the 3-D version, despite the negative experience last time. But it totally worked out this time. They went in the auditorium a little late, so Kyleigh didn't get bored by the commercials like she did last time. As soon as she put on the 3-D glasses, something jumped out of the movie screen and startled her. She jumped but she liked it. She kept her 3-D glasses on pretty much throughout the movie, even during the end credits.
Kyleigh didn't really talk to me much at the beginning of the week. But earlier today when I called, she was chatting with me for quite a long time, until I had to go back to the meeting. She told me she was drinking water, she watched a movie on TV at the day care, her teacher gave her milk, and she liked the movie she saw with Daddy.
My husband said he tried to have Kyleigh sleep by herself, and Kyleigh always said she wanted to sleep by herself like a big girl. But in reality, Kyleigh always gets up and walks across the hallway to Daddy's bedroom, in the middle of the night with all the lights off. So now my husband just has her sleep on the master bed with him, in case she trips and hurts herself in the dark.
Overall it sounds like Kyleigh is doing just fine.
