I saw a tv show about this. The penis is flat against the males body and yes, he does insert it into the female.

I'm surprised they aren't deep frying those now for the next great county fair food! I think they call the bull ones "Texas toothpicks." It's amazing what those science and nature shows come up with. There was a good one on parasites but I'm not sure of the name -- something inside me? Anyway, Dr. Rath's newsletter mentioned it. It was pretty hideous -- and a recent medical segment on ABC mentioned that there's actually a fish (from South America) that invades the male human penis, I guess because the atmosphere there is a bit cooler than where it comes from! I don't plan on vacationing there at all. I'm still waiting for that "Buggin' with Ruud" or Georges Broussard to come back to TV with a great insect show. LOL, EWWW!!! deep fried whale penis! that be a big meal for whatever money somebody paid though. never heard of that fish, that be scary! I'd stay away from that region of south america too if I was a guy. Thanks for reading and you stay well powered too!

The penis sticks down at a slant, and the female and the male have to turn sort of sideways. The penis goes into the female's vagina. They are mammals, and the calf is born alive. It nurses -- again they are mammals.

I don't know if sperm whales spontaneously explode, but a dead one that washed up on the Oregon shore some years ago exploded. Or actually, it was exploded by DOT (beaches are a public highway here) when some genius decided that would be a good way to dispose of it. Naturally there were a lot of bystanders who all got sprayed with whale blood and bits of blubber. A huge piece of the whale came down on a car that was parked nearby and just destroyed the car! It was all filmed by local news stations and the footage is still played locally every now and then. Needless to say, we don't detonate whales on the beach any more.
