I'm allergic to all kinds of lotion, which is Not cool cuz I'm a little concerned I may age too fast because of it. How 'bout you? What allergies do You have? And how do they affect your day-to-day life?

I am allergic to oranges, tomatoes, penecillin, sulpha drugs, Tylenol, Tide laundry detergent, MSG and who knows what else......I have very sensitive skin and react to a lot of things. Oranges, tomatoes, Tide and Tylenol make me break out in hives. MSG makes my throat itch. Penecillin causes my throat to swell shut and Sulpha drugs give me hives the size of eggs. I am a red head and attribute some of it to my fair skin. Also, my mother has a lot of allergies so I may have gotten some of them from her.
I'm allergic to all soaps, I can only use Ivory on my body. I'm fine with lotion and scent, though. I have environmental allergies though, I take Claritin D every day, year round. I'm allergic to many pharmaceuticals; codeine, aspirin, to name a few. I cannot ever have any IV contrast material (for IVP, CT, etc...) I had it once and went into full anaphylactic shock, I 'coded' and had to be revived. I carry an alert in my wallet.
Most of those contrast agents are Iodine based. I'm allergic to that, too, but I will eat shellfish until I can't stand the itch from the rash I get. I am also allergic to horse serum, which they use for tetanus toxoid.
I know they are and I'm not allergic to iodine or shellfish which is why it surprised me. The doctor told me if I ever had it again, the reaction would be worse. I would most likely go into full cardiac arrest and most assuredly would die.
Antibiotics... almost all of them.
Up until I was about 45 years old, I wasn't allergic to anything -- not even poison oak, but I became allergic to honey, sunflower seeds, most soap, many detergents, and poison oak. I have now out-grown all but some detergents and sunflower seeds. I know -- strange.
Penicillin, keflex, eggs, some nuts, bleach, ammonia, glues, pollen, animal hair, strawberries, soaps, msg....
No allergies really. I just once had an allergic reaction to a medication but other than that none.
Latex and some meds. Plus because of my fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue, I'll suddenly develop a sensitivity to a chemical that I never had before - like maybe bleach or soap I've used for a long time.
mold, pollen, certain medications.
codeine? SP* antibiotics other things
Onions. It does get me out of having to slice them at work.
No allergies here!
The last year or so I have developed sinus allergies. Other than that, nothing. Although when I try using those body mists on my skin, my chest tightens and I have a very hard time breathing until I scrub it off. Of course I don't use them anymore.
