Well, I hate to sound weird, but I'm not a soup lover....LOL! I guess if you consider it a soup, I really love chili....but very thick! The guys really like soup, but not me!
Chili works too! I forgot about that one! And beef stew is kinda like soup & it's yummy too! :)
I like home made soup. Only when I make it myself. I just love Onion soupl and Clam Chowder.
Onion Soup??? You avoid company after having some? :-D)
Dennis you should try onion soup. You will never drink tomato soup again. Besides after drinking it there is no need to avoid getting close. Since the Onions are cooked.
Tomato soup is always a fave.
Cream of Shrimp soup is pretty good, and some peoples potato soup is great.
Tomato Soup??? That's the invention of a very evil person :-D)
Cream of Shrimp soup!!! Now you're talking.
Potato soup? Yes, definately depends on who makes it.
Tomato soup is evil? Does this go for other tomato based products as well, cause I was planning on having ap izza for lunch. -grin-
I've not had GOOD potato soup in a long time. Sadly I'm not one of the peole who makes good ones.
No. Only tomato Soup :-D)
Albondigas and Minestrone...
I had to look up albondigas! Now I know!
Ha ha, I wasn't sure I spelled it right either... but I love the stuff. I'm bummed if I go to a Mexican restaurant and they don't have it.... ha!
I had to look 'em both up. Love Albondigas soup; never knew that was its name. Minestrone looks good; so many recipes!!!
minestrone, potato, chicken noodle, vegetable beef
Matzoh Ball Soup is #1. But I also like Soupy Sales!!
Soupy Sales! That's a flashback!
Well, Tammy, a hearty pie in the face to you, dear!
Matzoh Ball Soup? Is that what I know as boiled dumplings in soup?
Don't knock it if you haven't tried it!! It is fantastic!!
Tried Matzohs; hate 'em, but I just love boiled dumplings. Is it boiled dumplings?
I happen to love matzohs and matzoh ball soup. I just googled matzoh ball soup and I don't see boiled dumplings mentioned, so I think the answer to your question is 'no'. I also like chicken soup. I only have soup when I eat out, usually when company visits. Everyone loves it. Whoever eats these becomes a mensch. Common knowledge.
Matzohs soup I have not tried yet. But I LOVE the matzoh crackers. Somehow I don't find them all the time. It is usually around the holidays. I have to go to a Jewish neighborhood to find them I suppose.
They are in every supermarket down here all the time. They are in the same aisle as whitefish and gefilte fish. They usually have about 5 different kinds of matzoh, such as unsalted, egg matzoh, salted, and different brands. Hopefully, Gessy, you'll find a supermarket that has them.
I love soup! I'd rather make my own... but there is one canned soup that I do like... Glen Muir's tomato soup! Great flavor!
Chicken noodle
Campbell soup is my favorite.
I make a great new england clam chowder, a great manhatten clam chower, and my pea soup can't be beat. Onion soup was the soup I have made the longest, since I was in high school.
Confused?
I am Heather C.
Heather Campbell tee hee
Would love to try the Clam Chowder, but can't see how I'd convince my wife to cook it.
I like my soups best, but there is one at Panera Bread that's pretty good, though I think I've figured out the recipe for the soup... I need to figure out how to make bread bowels.
I make almost all of my soups myself........faves are Unstuffed Pepper Soup, Chicken Tortellini, Meatball Soup and Cauliflower Cheese Soup.
cheesy potato apple
That's a soup? I'd love to try it!!!
I found a recipe online somewhere for cheesy apple soup and I modified it a little by adding potatoes too - my family LOVES it. I guess you could also modify a potato soup recipe to add shredded sharp cheddar and apple chunks
Tom kha gai or Tom yum, both spicy Thai soups.
I like Homemade Veggie Soup
Tomato soup (any variation) is a fave. My 2nd love is French Onion with a slab of Swiss on top-yum!
Beer cheese soup or a spicy thai soup!
mushroom and cream of broccoli
Homemade cheesy potato soup.
Another lover of Cheezy Potato Soup. (That's really a soup???)
Hi Cheryl W. Can I get your recipe?
Cheesy Potato Soup
3 lbs. potatoes
1/4 cup margarine,melted
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup all purpose flour
4 cups milk
8 oz. Velveeta cheese, melted
Pepper to taste
Garlic powder to taste
1 tsp hot sauce
Peel and dice the potatoes and cook in 2 cups boiling water. Cook for about 10 minutes or until almost done. In a large pot, melt the margarine. Add the diced onion and cook until translucent...and then stir in the flour. Stir for a moment or two before gradually adding the milk. Stir constantly over medium-low heat until liquid begins to thicken. Add the melted Velveeta. Stir well. Add the potato mixture to the cheese mixture. (Do not drain potatoes). Stir in garlic, pepper, and hot sauce. Cover and cook on low heat , stirring occasionally. If the soup is not thick enough, you can thicken it up by adding a few instant mashed potatoes.
Place in bowls and top with shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, chives and parsley. YUMMY! (If you want the fattier version of this recipe, use 8 cups of half and half rather than the milk...and go ahead and drain the water from the potatoes. Also, use 16 oz of Velveeta instead of 8 oz.)
I actually don't have a specific favourite. Any soup my wife cooks is just great.
The one I haven't had in a long time is Pepper Pot Soup. (Can't get her to make it.)
How do you do Hyper link?
I also love egg drop soup
My all time faves are cream of mushroom, brocolli and celery because I use them as sauces and bases for other soups.
Minestrone
I love stuffed baked potato soup. My second fave is bean with bacon.
I love Minestrone. But chicken noodle is my favorite. I also like Tomato. But if I can only pick one it would be Tony Romas Baked Potato Soup. Yummy!!!!
My wife makes an aewsome Chicken & Rice soup, along with a Turkey soup that is to die for. Before she came around, I guess a can of Campbell's Chicken Noodle was my staple. I too am a Tomato soup fan. I love crunching crackers and adding shredded cheese to it.
Tomato and Split Pea
