Zoo or Circus???

I think I'd prefer the zoo.

I prefer the zoo, especially if it is one that keeps the animals in setting that are as natural as possible. I empathize (I know, bad word, I must be angling for a job as an activist judge) with animals that caged. It is sort of like going to a prison to view the inmates. Okay, I am sometimes a bleeding heart something or other.

Good call George. And I wouldn't call you a bleeding heart......empathetic perhaps but no bleeding heart.

Hi Gwen, I'm afraid that I'm one of those that's against the concept of captive animals anywhere.  However, the lesser of the evils would have to be the zoo. At least the modern zoos are doing their part to stop the extinction of certain species.

One zoo that i can commend for this movement is the San Diego Zoo, in, of all places, San Diego, California.

How right you are. They don't seem to be shy about investing time, talent and money. All for making what has to be the most educational and "critter" friendly exibits in the western hemisphere.

Animals should be left in the wild.  They will sink or swim in terms of surviving.

I hate clowns.

I would have to say zoo because believe it or not I have never been to a circus.

I love the zoo, we have gone so many times. We've only been to the circus once or twice. So I probably would pick the circus for now.
