My subscription to the Washington Post will end in about 6 weeks, when the special promotional price (49 cents / each Sunday paper) will expire.
I signed up to their Post Points program since I started the subscription. The points can be redeemed for a $10 grocery store gift card at 1,700 points. My current balance is 970 points, and they said any unredeemed Post Points will be forfeited when I cancel the subscription. So, to make my points worthy, I have to get 730 additional points in the next 6 weeks.
I really wish I had been more vigilant on earning the points in the past, and then I wouldn't have to be pressured to earn so many points in the last few weeks. It is actually pretty easy to earn points. If I would just log on to their site everyday, I would be almost guaranteed 60 points every week. But I let myself slip and didn't log on everyday.
So, I am setting a weekly goal to earn enough points to redeem the gift card by the end of my subscription. The first thing I have to do is to make sure I log on everyday. Then, probably I'll have to order a lot of pizzas and write a lot of reviews to make up the remaining points.
