Too soon to tell, but I don't have a headache like I did with Hawthorne, and my icon is still glowing in color...so, I'm better than I was last time.

So far sooo good, I'm not having problems...unless you count trying to find everything that had a name change or just moved on your home page...but this is too be expected...things are just moving a little slow and I figure that will even out after a few days...hopefully!

Looks fine to me. Like with anything new, it takes a little getting used to, but I find the look cleaner, which I like.

I've survived worse. I'm not that impressed though and with off and on page load errors all day long, it's definitely annoying.

I kind of like it. I've managed to respond to, ad post articles unscathed, so that's a big step in the right direction. I don't really like the way the posts are set up where the text is so small, but I'll get over it I imagine.

hate it. Pages load to slow and i'm on dial up. I can't redeem points because i just get an error message page. I had a problem since the last upgrade that only yesterday was fixed and now that this "upgrade" has happened the problem is back. I was told i'm the only person with the problem though, so i'm apparently just stuck with it. I hate not having the front page we used to. I hate everything about this upgrade. I didn't like the last upgrade we had, but i'd MUCH rather have that back. There was nothing wrong with how it was. I hate that fluff articles and games are going to be all that's on the article search page. I'm not a complainer by nature, so for me to constantly say hate says something . I wish what we the members of gather want mattered, but it's pretty obvious it doesn't, and that's so sad. Gather is the site I go to every day, several times a day.

what I want to know is, why did we do that 100 point survey to tell them what we think of gather, and then have none of it matter?

I can't really give an opinion seeing nothing is really working right now. I do not like the new look of the articles though.

I'm beginning to get really annoyed with having to sign back in every half hour.
Patricia- I was having that problem until I clicked the "leave me logged in" option when I signed in. So far that's kept me from being booted. This morning was rough and I wasn't impressed.

I supposed once the bugs are worked out it'll be okay. I like the new look of the articles. It's easier for me to focus on.

I was just finally getting used to the latest upgrade and finally beginning to not hate it as much. Now they went and screwed with everything again. So much for this being a place to publish articles and artwork with the hope of being seen by others. Now you can share a post or photo with all your friends. Which is nice, I guess. But it sounds so much less appealing to me when I want to, for example, get part of a story I am writing out there for others to read and critique me on, and it turns into "sharing" a "post." My writing is not some generic post.

I know, it's all just word in the end. But I also don't really like not having the front page to get that quick look into Gather. It was a way that I found A LOT of my new connections and favorite writers. (who are now my friends who share posts. It sounds so demeaning....)

Just my opinion. I know no one really cares about us simple peons who must not be able to understand words with more than one syllable in them...

I haven't been on gather very long, so I was still learning my way around, now I have to start all over! It's not that I dislike anything (so far), but I shouldn't have to learn how to navigate it all over again.

As far as I'm concerned, as I've said so many places here already concering this, the demise of Gather was sealed with the last Hawthorne 'upgrade.' From my perspective, anything they do after that is anti-climactic and will make no difference to the integrity of the site that needed improvements they ignored before that upgrade. They chose to change the whole look and feel of the site. From what I see with this upgrade, it is some improvement to that very roughly and shoddily put together design to further the social agenda. The inprovements lie in the maneuverability and ease of navigation, but that's about it.
