Spiders - do you squash the heck out of them, or catch them to set them free into the Wild?  Myself - I squash - as hard as I possibly can with whatever I can get my hands on. 

I recently bumped into this website that has superstitions about why you shouldn't kill a spider.  Superstitions or not, I don't plan on changing my m.o.

How about you?  Spider Squisher, or Spider Rescuer?

I usually toss them outside. From my days of living in Hawaii I learned never to kill spiders. They eat other bugs that I don't want inside myhome.

I do not usually do anything with them. I just let them be. They do not bother me, so I do not bother them. I will clean up the webs when they form inside my house, but I do not purposely kill the spiders or catch them and move them outside.

Well, if I'm by myself then I am definately a squasher.........a foot squasher, or a paper towel squasher if it's up on a wall.

If my kids are with me, then I have to rescue them and give them to my daughter.......who then names them and keeps them in a box for a pet. That is, until they die because she accidently squashes them.

Though I know spiders are good in getting rid of other insects, I don't like spiders at all. I don't just squash them. I pulverize them with a rolled up newspaper or shoe. I smack them so hard and so much; there's no chance for them to survive. They have to be a smear before I'm satisfied.

Remember that scene in "Annie Hall"? Alfie says to Annie , "You've got a spider as big as a buick" as he disappears into her bathroom with a tennis racket.

I don't mind spiders if I can see them. It's the cobwebs I sometimes walk through that creep me out.
