It seems that everytime Walker and I get anywhere near eachother, our jealous cat Mysti just has to get in on the action. Milo (orange cat) and Pebbles (the dog) don't seem to care one way or another, but when Walker and I are in a romantic mood, Mysti just has to be involved. Take tonight, for example. We were standing in the bedroom, about to lay down, and we reached out for a hug. Mysti was there on the bed beside us, with her tail in between us ticking us the whole time. We get into bed, and Mysti automatically jumped in between us, wanting her belly rubbed.
Do the other cats on Gather like to get involved in the love lives of their humans or is Mysti just a special case?

Love and hugs - S.
Why don't you get Milo a nice little friend? Otherwise it'll have to be a separate room. Good luck either way.
Maybe I'll send her to Mysti...they can drive each other crazy.
She is so named because where I live is a major convergence of Ley lines (mystic power) and there are many mystics and psychics who live here (a.k.a. nut cases). However, in a recent survey by Beliefnet, Sedona was voted the #1 spot in the world for healing.
Milo was named for the cat in the movie "The Adventures of Milo and Otis" (The Adventures of Milo and Otis is a 1989 (Japanese release: 1986) live action film starring an orange tabby cat named Milo and a fawn pug named Otis.) Unlike the Milo in the movie, this cat hasn't an adventurous bone in his body. I rescued him from the wheels of a 22-ton forklift when I worked in an aluminum rolling plant. He had been born feral and there was no evidence of his mother or peers. He was introduced into a family of male cats and never really fit in. Mysti is the first female (ex-female) cat he's known and he now wants to be friends. Milo helped raise the dog, Pebbles (the dog was raised by 6 cats and knows her place).
Unfortunately, Mysti has been alone for 3 years now. She had been with her sister, Pumpkin (another orange tabby) for 2 years, but, unfortunately, Pumpkin argued with a coyote one evening and disappeared.
Mysti naturally gravitated toward her "mother", the lady I was caregiver for after her sister disappeared. When Barbara died, the cat grudgingly accepted me as the major human in her life. When Leah came down in February, (two months after Barb died), Mysti adopted her.
Leah only spent two weeks here and the cat mourned for months after she left. Now that she's back, I'm not certain whether Mysti is punishing her for disappearing, or genuinely wants to be between us.
It is much less curiosity than dominance :) At this moment, I just corrected Mysti that Milo wants to play. The two of them drive me crazy in the morning when I'm up and Leah isn't (she's on Gather until around 04:00). I get up around 05:00. The two cats will take turns guarding the hallway down to the bedroom and bat. Milo teases Mysti, but she's not yet come around to being very social.
I think she feels the same about Leah and I.
Like I said, "Pain in the A$$ cat!"
As for what happens after you're sleeping, I was teasing Mysti last night, and she was climbing all over Walke. haha He was aware that she was climbing on him, but he didn't know until moning that I was telling her to do that. haha
Of course Mysti drove you crazy last night!!! I trained her to be even more obnoxious than usual.Everytime she walked over to me I moved my hand to where you were, and she'd walk all over you. ;-) That's our new game that we play when you are asleep. Would you like me to get Pebbles and Milo involved, next time?
Mysti is going to drive you even crazier when I go nack to Canada in a few weeks. She wants you all to herself, she wants me all to herself, and she wants both of us to pay attention to her at the same time, but we're not allowed to pay attention to eachother. Those are Mysti's rules!
No question about it. The husband has to go.
pets are fun arent they? LOL
Is your comment about the spouce going before the pets do, the reason why the ex-wife went back to Kentucky, and we got the dog?
get her some company
