between my shoulder blades and a Celtic cross since my adopted son, James, is Irish (and I promised his birthmom ... I would 'keep his Irish up'). James' BirthMom has 17 tattoos!

She is actually a wonderful artist and is designing the tattoo for me!

I am happy you asked that question...

I'm with Debra...it's not that I don't like them, I just hate needles and don't think that it would be worth the pain of getting one.

My first son died shortly after birth. I would have a baby angel with wings and maybe his name "Dakota" tatooed on my shoulder.

I have a celtic cross that needs some "touch up" work - it has gotten blurry. It's on my lower back in the center. I would like to add some to it as well, but the design my hubby did is a little complicated - it almost looks like wings though.

And to those of you that said "I don't like them" you would think again if they meant something and were more than just a pretty picture.

I have a friend who lost his tattoo artist in the Rhode Island night club fire. So now that ink means even more to him.

I think anyone that says they don't like tattoos is just looking at them as an image not the fact that more often than not there is meaning there. Such as another friend of mine who has a horse tattoo that by accident looks just like her horse that died after a long illness.

I'd put a dragon over or near my appendicitis scar - thanks to the suggestion of my surgeon. He honestly said that if the scar bothered me (which it doesn't) then I could always cover it with a tattoo.

Barbed Wire and Roses across the small of my back (and yes it has a secret meaning) and a ladybug tattoo on my big toe,just because!

Of course I don't have any tattoos because I'm a chicken and change my mind WAY too often to ever be permantly inked! I know! I know! I'm a wuss!
