Yes, but then I read this book called the Math Devil I've always had a love/hate relationship with math. I love math because there are no gray areas 1+1 is always 2. At the same time I hate it because I had so much difficulty with it in school.
I don't hate math...I use it everyday. However, algebra and I are not on current speaking terms since it was such a pain to explain to my son this past semester...we simply do not speak the same language
I liked math when I was a child in school and I like it as an adult. Loved geometry and just liked trying to figure problems out. Funny thing is I don't like most puzzle type games and I really never ever liked those "story problems". They were the worst! But all the rest is/was ok.
I wouldn't say I hate math, but in school it was one of my least favorite subjects. Looking back, I think that might just be that I tended to like my teachers of other subjects better than the math teachers.
I hate math and my mind just isn't organized to do things with numbers. I have taken geometry and algebra and did OK in them but didn't enjoy them at all. I especially hate accounting, although I can do it. What I hate the worst is doing our income taxes. Every time I learn the rules, they change!
I wasn't crazy about math class in school, but I think I would like it more now -- I enjoy number puzzles like Kakuro and keeping track of our household finances. Maybe it's something about how math is taught in the US that makes it unpopular.
In real life, I find it to be an exciting challenge. In classes, I enjoy math when it's taught in the right way. Math needs to be taught with purpose, it needs to be explained fully, and it's always more fun if it's taught as a challenge or a game. Typical college courses are the perfect example of math I hate. But...it's not the math, it's the way it's being taught. Unfortunatly, there often is not enough time to dedicate to making math fun.

I typically like to use a calculator but the decimals and all those additional numbers confuse me endlessly.
