This past week has been a rough one. My nephews finace underwent an operation to remove a brain tumor. She is 26 years old. Thursday we learned she had brain Cancer. They went to put a shunt in on Monday and learned her blood is not clotting. She has some kind of an infection. They are going to try again tomorrow. However, I am having trouble with the fact they have told us that it is treatable but not curable. How someone so young is being so stong when she is facing death is beyond me! I am not sure how to put all these emotions into check and not think about what the end result is gooing to be. I ask myself the question of why and how and what to do. I guess all this is normal in the porcess but why someone so young?

I lost my best friend in 2002 to breast cancer that eventually spread to her bones and then to her brain. They did brain surgery on her but it was unsuccessful and her brain cells started to die soon after the surgery. My best friend, Cournetta was 39 years old and just the best person you would ever want to meet. There were over 1000 people at her funeral and she was not anyone famous or anything...she just touched that many people in her life.
I know that it is so hard and the answers are just not there from any of us humans but as my friend would tell me....
Do good during whatever time you are here on the earth until the day you are to go "home" to your father. My friend told everyone to not greive for her because we were to know that she was going to be happy and healthy in her new body.
Just stay strong and pray.
I will say some prayers also.
