My Song of Life--ALL My Life----

 All my life

I have been searching for peace-

Peace for the heart and soul

Peace and love

Like the Heavens above;

All my life

I have been hearing cries-of

Breaking bonds and breaking ties-

Scathing rhetoric and blatant lies

Cheating friends and faithful spies;

All my life

I thought this time it will be true

There will be some one new

someone who will be different

a different touch a different scent;

But again, I find there is pain

more than before, artful feign

Of deprivation inside-

itself yearning for someone beside-

All my life

I have looked into those dark eyes

asking longing reaching drowning

I have seen the silky knot

roll down the slender neck

the glint  of gold

at the turn of the face

All my life

I asked myself

What then is true beauty

peace care and love

I feel I now know

Its only He Above All

Who made us so

We are to give love

We are to make peace

We are to care

All our life;

So I forgive  all as I meet them

For they are still far behind on the path

They seem to be in the dark

fearful tense upset

tearing the invisible bark;

All our life

we keep waiting

when Love is really

within us

and peace is in the soul.
