Did you see Scott Pelley's interview with Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke? In the interview, Bernanke said the recession could end this year.
It was a fascinating interview and gave me a new perspective of this man. He grew up in Dillon, South Carolina in a middle class family. His father had a business on Main street in this small town. He hasn't forgotten his roots. His family home there, owned by another family, recently went through foreclosure.
Like many of us, he is outraged by the behavior of A.I.G.

People who know money are more concerned about quantitative easing than some quaint story about a small town boy's rise to fed chairman.
I am very optomistic.
But I feel too many repubs are praying for the fall of America least a BLACK PRESIDENT look like a success.
