VOTE HERE IF YOU THINK THE NEW GATHER CHANGES SUCK!

I have to change from My Profile to My Gather if I want to look at my mail now.

That sucks!

I have to change from My Profile to My Gather if I want to "Share" an article, which was fine with me when it said "ARTICLE."

That sucks on two counts!

And why in the hell do I have to hammer on my delete button somethimes, most of the time in fact, when editiing? That by the way has been all along, not just since the changes. I don't have that problem in any other editor.

And that new Exlore button. What the hell was wrong with the other way, it worked fine.

Sorry, I can't give the new changes a 10 vote. Not even a 9. Or an 8. A 7, no. Not a 6, 5, 4, 3, 2. And guess what? No 1 for it either. This article desrves a 10, but not the new changes.

I don't know if I'd go as far as to say the changes "suck," but I really don't like them. It used to be easy to get around and now I'm totally confused. It's almost not worth the trouble. Ease of movement is what this should be about, and I'm afraid it is anything but. Sorry. I know you guys worked really hard on this.

Destin, I am still trying to figure my way around. Ok I clicked on the Explore button for the first time. I guess I am not the explorer type. You are there in most recent. I can understand some of your reservations. Though I have to admit the things I have been submitting have been very light, I still want some heavey cream with that also. I hate that they changed it from images to photographs. What about all the wonderful artists on Gather. Sure they have to photograph their paintings, but... End result, I guess I will deal with it.

I do not like the fact that we now have to go to mygather to get to friend requests and email. It was so much easier when it was up in the corner and we knew right away to go check them!!

I can find many things that could stand some changing, but not the things that did get changed. For example, when you post an article it would save a lot of time if you had a box to check that would let you choose to post to all groups, then you could take out ones you don't want posted to.

I don't feel that they suck. I think that is a very strong word. I am getting used to it. The changes began the night before I left on vacation and I'm only back a week. I am not thrilled with the new Share button, but I wouldn't say it sucks. I liked the way Gather was before the last 2 changes BUT I like it better that I can figure out what group my messages are coming from. I couldn't before - not in email anyway.

I have no problem with the changes when it comes to posting the actual work. And I can read my email easier now so I don't think it sucks. Sorry. Just my 2 cents.

I cant stand all the changes. I dont like having to go from one page to another to check my mail, share a "post" (why post?) Article was much better sounding. I cant stand the new rating thing, all it does is piss me off and I forget most of the time now. I have not found one thing I like. I was still looking for one thing I liked about the last "up grade" and never found one.

I dont understand why our feeds empty out, they dont on other sites, but Gather for some reason cant get it right and have it not empty. That pisses me off too. I am getting to the point to where I cant stand Gather. Thankfully there are so many wonderful people on here or else I would have left with the last "up grade".

I hate having to click on Rate to bring up the stars. The stars keep going away before I have voted. The same is true when clicking on Explore to find Share so I can publish something I have written. Everything seems harder and more time consuming. My readership and number of comments have gone down. I don't know if it is just the qualiaty of what I published, or if it is just more work to find me, comment and vote. The changes have made me feel Gather is not worth the effort, and I have been going to Helium to publish stuff. I think there is a chance of making a little money there. What I miss is the easy exchange of comments and ideas the Gather system makes possible. That is priceless.

I do not have any problems,as always I will figure it out,and deal with the changes.so I cant agree they TOTALLY suck,a few things dont make any sense but again Ill deal

I detest the feeds - they don't give me the information I need in an organized way and the fact that they clear out just IRKS me no end.

I am also very disappointed & distressed by the fact that the Gather PTB do not listen to their members. At all. They attempt to create the impression that they do - but the reality is that they have consistently ignored the feedback and suggestions they've asked for.

How long have people been asking to be better able to manage groups, edit comments, etc.?

Instead they give us video - and then Twister - and then the gawdawful feed that doesn't work.

It also seriously irks me that they do not follow basic standards (like having the gather logo in the top left GO HOME)

Well overall, so far, it looks like "sucks" takes the winning votes.
Angeleyes, that's just because you have angel eyes. Who's going to argue looking into eyes like that? If you would join the "sucks" group here, we might get some movin' and shakin' going on. All you would have to do is flitter those eyes a bit and they would be eating out of the palm of your hand. Then while you have them all hypnotized you could make them change things back to the way they were.

I am still trying to get use to the new changes. I don't think they suck, but I was use to the other way, so that was much easer and faster

Well....if anyone wants to know who is really making the big bucks on here it is whoever owns Gather.  Us little guys is what is putting those bucks in their pockets.

A person is much better off to create their own social site, web site or whatever and put Google ads on it.  Google pays much more than these social sites, if money is the reason for sticking around here.

That's it. The votes are in. It looks like "sucks" wins bt a margin. It looks like about 13 to 4. So, back to the drawing board for gather.com. You need to erase those ugly suck marks.

I have not been able to post sictures. I am now holding five articles, that I was trying to post two pictures with the article. No luck, I have not posted any pictures since the albums came out. I cannot post them.

They suck! If no one receives points for viewing very few will...You don't get point's for viewing. So alot of post's, ect..but in time no one around to view them. Viewer's are important to! Try saleing a movie/book with out them...You can't.....
