Whenever I read the International news paper, every time I found something confusing. Specially while reading the news of Middle East, Pakistan, Africa and some other countries. Do US administration thinks normal public as fool or what? Every time they are defining democracy in their own words. If democracy is public opinion of that particular country then why US administration is snatching the right of general public and forcing the politicians which are puppet of US in place.
We do have many live examples, lets first see Pakistan where democracy is been blasted by Military General Pervez Musharraf and still he have a legal approval from US to lead the government. Now let turn towards Middle east countries like Saudi, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, etc. where there is still kings which is like monarchy, not democracy. In these places, people has never voted for their own government but still US has approved these kings monarchy.
All these are live examples of countries with which US has good relations but there is no sign of democracy there. If US is so much caring for implementing democracy in the world then why it is ignoring its close allies and friends.
When we just see towards the countries on which US has attacked and try to find out reasons for attacking these countries, the reason which US administration gives is to implement democracy, Live examples are of Iraq and Afghanistan. If US is so much keen to implement democracy, then why don't US try to push its allies for the same. It is famous saying that charity begins at home. Following this statement, US is supposed to implement democracy in countries with which they have close ties and then look after other countries. But contrary to this, US is forcing its rival countries for democracy rather its own allies are still monarchy ruled.
With all these blunders by US administration, lets try to evaluate reasoning of US for going against democracy in some cases. First and foremost example of first democratically elected Prime Minister of Iraq, Mr. Ibrahim Al-Jaafari. Without any reason, US has removed Mr. Jaafari even tough he was unanimously elected by general public. And instead of him another person from his own party has been selected as prime minister- Mr. Noori al Malaki. Is this democracy?
Another example, Palestinian people has elected Hamas as their own party in elections of 2006 with more than 60% of votes and therefore they are in ruling party but after the current crises in Gaza and dissolution of Hamas led government by President Mahmoud Abbas, they have formed a new selected government, not elected, and US is also recognizing it. Is this democracy? On the other hand, general public is still with Hamas except handful of Fatah people.
From all these points, it is simply clear that US administration only wants those people in government who are helping them to achieve their aims and goals quietly, if they try to raise their voices, they have been crashed. All the politicians and rulers knows this very well and keep their voices and faces low in front of US administration.
So the new definition of democracy will now be: The one who is with US has democracy in their countries and the one who raises voice against US doesn't have democracy and be ready to be attacked.

Anyway, I will admit that many of the nations that we work with are not democracies, but those countries dont treat their people like dirt. There are few, if any, starving people in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, or Kuwait. They people live very nice lives. They recieve free education, health care, and benefits. While they are still a long way away from a Democratic state, the situation is improving. In Pakistan and Yemen, the governments are not exterminating ethnic minorities, like Iraq and Afghanistan did to the Kurds and the Hazaras. And Iraq was about as Democratic as China or the Soviet Union was.
We may get in bed with a lot of people to fight terrorists, but they are not as bad as the people we are fighting. There is nothing noble about Iran, the Palestinians, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, or any of those other nations we dislike.
We may have gone to war for the wrong reasons, but leaving would not be right.
I think it is must that they support democracy in those countries as they want to establish a relationship with the people rather a person. It will take time, effort and money.
United States has a practice of alienating either people or leaders. For example, Lebanon, it had a robust economy and democracy, but all vanished with the conflict against Israel. The leadership in the States gave its principle policy to political alliance, which resulted in militant outfit to further grip the country in their own hands. I see them making same mistake over and over again, which is why we are witnessing civil war in Lebanon, Palestine and Iraq.
First Freinds then Foes.
This blunders are underming the prestige of American Peace Loving people.
