Rudy Giuliani is not my first choice to be the next President of the United States, but if that person is not nominated by the Democratic Party, Rudy is among the candidates I would consider voting for in November 2008, but I have questions about one of his supposed strengths.
I keep hearing the opinion expressed that Rudy is strong on national security, but I cannot help but wonder if that opinion is based on other than the outstanding job he did in providing leadership as Mayor of New York on 9-11 and its aftermath.
Rudy did an excellent job leading New York and rallying the spirits of New Yorkers and the nation on 9-11, but that alone does not mean he is strong on national security or providing the kind of leadership our nation has lacked.
What proposals, if any, has he put forth to improving our national security? What opinions has he expressed about the current administration’s national security policies? Anyone out there able to answer my questions or are you to wondering about this?

I look at all the candidates. I posted this article in case someone had more detailed information about Rudy that I had missed.
To use a crass overgeneralization:
If someone attempts to set fire to a major movie theater, and the manager handles the situation well, does that give him qualifications to act in or direct a movie like the ones he shows in his theater?
(Crass overgeneralizations are my specialty. I'd like to trade it in for 'ability to part fools from their money'.)
