Early planting and breaking the throws of winter's solitude brought hundreds of gardeners and vendors and garden groupies out Sunday the 6th.

It was a beautiful break and breath of fresh farm air from this winters woes and current weather fronts rambling through the southern Ozarks of Missouri.

It also was a very successful day for us. I sold 40 tomato plants, all my dried gourds, and mountain sized chocolate chip cookies and coffee and some rope.

I purchased my favorite honey( thank goodness now I can bake bread again) and rattle snake pole beans (thought I wasn't gonna find these in stock, they sold out earlier this spring) and came home with a pie cherry tree, two peach trees, my jujube tomato plants and kale and cabbage and brocolli plants from friends.....

We visited with friends who live "slow" so we only see them at gatherings..and had the added bonus of a lovely invite to the house of friends of ours where we spent the night and hiked their 15 acres and viewed their green houses and garden areas.

May 4th and 5th is the HUGE Spring Plant Festival at Baker Creek Farm, and I cannot wait, especially after this last( and I mean that) and late cold snap!
Enjoy the pics and if your happen upon Baker Creek in your travels, stop by our set and give us a holler!

Your set looks great. Glad you got the 'Mater merchanting done.
My plants look great, still yet. Have not yet planted them in the yard. Still trying to figure out the best spot.
(BTW, I cleared the workspace, and started back on the glass again. Better start drawing a pix of what you want for a panel. Send me sketches and colors, okay?)
Blessings chica, I WILL see you May. Have tent, will travel.

they are not my original recipie..but truely one of the best I have had....right off a bag of flour.... I picked them because they looked like they would hold up...and they did and still tasted good....
