Margaret Mead once said, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, devoted citizens can change the world; indeed it is the only thing that has." To enter the Expedition for Change: Starbucks Earthwatch Contest, simply submit a 350-word essay or a 2-minute video that relates to the Mead quote. How can you drive positive environmental change in your community and inspire others to do the same?
One entrant in each category will win a spot on an Earthwatch expedition to Costa Rica! There, you'll help improve sustainable coffee farming in Costa Rica. This positive contribution to our environment is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
SEMI-FINALISTS will be announced May 14, 2007.
Entry Period ended Monday, April 30, 2007.
To enter the contest, you must be both a Gather member and a member of Expedition for Change group on Gather. Click the button to the right to sign up or join!
Once you've met these two requirements, simply submit your video or essay, following the guidelines detailed below, and you'll be one step closer to your life-changing Costa Rican adventure!

In the publish part at the top of this post it states once published your essay will go live.
In the faq (I think is where I found it) it states essays will be available for viewing within 48 hours.
Hopefully I have this correct if not let me know.
To starbucks moderator...you may want to consider revising the above script. That is of course that I am reading correctly. And please disreguard my email I have corrected the problem.
Thank you
"But seriously folks", this is just like those idiots who PAY for internships, and other idiots who PAY to go to third would counties to work while some greedy pig college professor or "humanitarian" gets all the loot. Starbucks, you want to improve the environment? Stop putting as many as a hundred stores within a one mile radius such as the "Starbucks cluster" in NYC. Yep, I'll be entering this contest, just after I enter the "We'll Remove Your Testicles For FREE with a Rusty Knife" contest at the local Spay/Neuter Clinic.
I just wanted to say I am finally going through what is now under 6,400 pieces of gather new mail that is in my inbox on here. So with that in mind I have finally come to a piece of mail that was addressed to me in regards this article submission you have created to share with the gather community. Thank you for taking the time and sharing your piece with us here at gather. :o)
And I hope you have a Happy New Year... in 2009 :o)
