Terence P. Jeffrey, Editor-in-Chief of CNSNews penned "Obama Told House Democrat He Wasn’t Talking about House Health Bill When He Told Congress ‘Our Plan’ Doesn’t Fund Abortion" (Monday, October 26, 2009) to clearly show the President's role in the confusion that surrounds the Health Care Reform bills.
"Rep. Bart Stupak (D.-Mich.) told CNSNews.com that President Barack Obama told him in a telephone conversation that when he said in his Sept. 9 speech to a joint session of Congress that “under our plan no federal dollars will be used to fund abortions” he was not talking about the actual bill drafted in the House but about the president’s own health care plan—which has never been written.
'I don’t know if it is a game of semantics or what,' Stupak said of Obama’s nationally televised declaration to Congress that the health-care plan will not allow federal funding of abortion.
Both the House and Senate versions of the health-care bill permit federal funds to pay for insurance plans that cover abortions.
In his speech to the joint session of Congress, Obama directly rebutted the claim that the plan would fund abortions, calling it a 'misunderstanding.' But in his later telephone conversation with Stupak, according to the congressman, Obama said that when he claimed in the speech that the plan would not fund abortions he was not talking about the House plan, he was talking about his own (imaginary) plan."
Some believe that President is confused about the contents of the bill, plan, ore whatever. Others believe that he is lying to sell the bill to moderates who oppose abortion.

CNSNews.com then asked Stupak if Obama was referring to a plan that existed only ‘theoretically, some different plan than the one you actually drafted in committee?”
“Correct. Correct,” said Stupak. “And when I pointed this out, he said: ‘Go back and work with the people on your committee and get this matter worked out. Work with the speaker. Work with us, would you?’ And I said: Yes, I would. And we have tried. But we haven’t been able to resolve our differences because we do not want public funds going for abortion.”
Lee says: Mmm... He's not confused. He just wants us to be confused. Sooo, it's not so much that he is lying; it's more like verbal prestidigitation. Ta daaa...
If this is an accurate account, yikes! It's exactly what I heard Glenn Beck say once - don't watch what his right hand is doing, that's a distraction. Watch what his left hand is doing while he hopes you are watching his right hand.
ie: There will be no funding for abortion ... er yikes we didn't know that was in there, or we didn't realize that would happen if we did this, or it was a miscalculation, or ... everybody out of the plane!

It is only obvious that since NOW only abortions involving rape, incest or danger to the life of the mother are covered, why would they raise the COST to cover abortions in general.
1) Abortion is presently treated as an elective procedure, like cosmetic surgery, in 99% of the cases, and is not covered by health insurance.
2) So, of course premiums will increase when the government makes abortion a mandatory benefit in all health insurance policies.
3) The government's scheme to set aside a portion of mandatory premiums in a separate fund for abortions has already been disclosed. By the government's faulty logic, abortions from this fund would not be paid for with "government funds" and would be legal. There is certain to be a court test of this illegal provision.
One woman pestered us weekly to get us to pay for her abortion because we paid for miscarriages. Finally, one senior adjuster paid it to get her to stop sending in her claim. He had told me to, but I refused to do it.
He also paid claims from a policyholder who had no insurance until after her illnesses because she pestered us to pay them.
Abortionists will get money and women will have their abortions paid for with tax money because the one in the WH now wants it to be that way. He doesn't want women 'punished' with a baby for their mistakes.
The President is slick and he'll keep talking out of both sides of his mouth on issues as long as the majority of the press let him
I have searched for months, but can't seem to find a copy on the Internet. I was beginning to think that it didn't exist.
I have a plan to deal with the weeds growing next to my garage, but I don't have a copy of that plan to share with you either. There aren't even any copies of my plan on the Internet. Of course that doesn't mean my plan doesn't exist. And it doesn't mean Pres. Obama's plan doesn't exist, either.
You appeal to them by taking action.
Don't you people have anything else to do than worry about who might escape their "just punishment" for having sex?
But for those who view them otherwise...who possibly have forgotten that they were once a baby themselves and needed to be cared for...should remember there are ways to prevent pregnancy from ever beginning and one of them is absolutely FREE and legal and you don't need anyone's help to use it.
