When asked the question: Senator, how do you face the people who voted for you because you were a Republican?  What do you say to them?  Do you owe them an apology?

Answer: I am working on health care reform.

My opinion:  Jerk!  Democrats can have this politician with a piggy bow!

That's quite a summation, but having listened to the interview, it's not an accurate one.

If you're going to quote someone it is good to put it down correctly. His answer to that question was a little more in-depth than you give him credit for, Carol.

That's a picture of Phil Spector, Carol. I guess I don't get it. And it's not Arlene Spector but Arlen.

I didn't get up early enough to watch any shows on politics this morning. I might see if I can find it online later. He's been a RINO for years from what I've heard. Better that he change sides anyway, the rat bastard!

I don 't think they should be able to change sides in the middle of their term. I wounder how much reward he got for the change. .The Dems. needed that evtra seat.

A review of the life of Arlen Spector can be found on Wikipedia. He originally was a Democrat but left the party many years ago, apparently with beliefs closer to the Republicans. Since that time, he has again followed his own beliefs and is now returning to the Democratic party.

How can you fault a man who has served his country in so many ways? You follow your beliefs. Do not degrade, persecute and demean with vile language a man who is doing the same. Shame on you.

Elise, he's a traitor. A yo-yo. He's switching because he doesn't think he can win re-election as a Republican not out of some sense of moral responsibilities. He's a stinking politician. Many people voted for him BECAUSE he ran as a Republican and now he's letting those people down.

He needs to retire.
