It is all based on fear. As it happens, protesters have been rather mild in the past twenty-five years. One would think that respect for free speech and concern for the safety of the convention can be managed better than this.

The 12 O'clock Minnesota Public Radio news reported that the police raided Anarchists last night and stopped their disruptive plans. America is now safe. Phew. I was so worried about those carrot radicals over at Food Not Bombs.

This kinda reminds me of how out of proportion things got back when Kent State was the victim. Will we ever be able to be what we were before Bush, Dick, Carl, and now McCain? The"Mllion Man March" was a prime example of how we can ALL behave. It must be tough to know you are so hated you must use our taxpayer $$$$ to protect yourselves from them people who give you money to do a job. Someone pass me the tea. Will it affect me. Where does it say she was arrested again??? I read she was led away uncuffed. And seems if if you read it all they planned on trespassing. Well hun in my neck of the woods I can shoot trespassers.
Also have to say love the way the peace signs come out infornt of onlookers and media...so typical never mind what they are doing as far as a lawful and unlawful protest. but HEY they got peace signs so that means they are the good guys. I wish we would hand our military those signs and then we wouldnt have much to worry about huh? LMAO

Any law any action takes away someones freedom. Just becuz it makes you happy doesnt mean the next guy isnt suffering from what you want. But again the world does revolve around one person doesnt it?
You do the best you can, be involved as much as you can, you have more freedom whether you can see it or not than 2/3rds of the world.
All politicians see what we dont, its easy for us to read the media spew and make judgment.

Jeff, the profanity does not bother me in the least, I well know the feeling that calls for it. But the problem is ... that the narrow minded, the same folks that defend the stats quo system here, that love "their" police and military force they feel protects them from liberal ideology, are the very ones that will flag this article on "moralistic" grounds ... as if the killing of "collateral damage" and reduced freedoms via the gutting of our constitution is acceptable where swearing for good cause is not ...

If this gets "flagged" it will not get to those NEED it most, the very small minded who have already turned their "reception" OFF for flagged material ... thus all that will be left is the choir that may be most likely to already know what you say ...
