After researching many candidates, talking to friends and family and posting a plea to all of you about your political preferences, I have made my decision.
I voted this morning as a democrat.
And yes Maxwell I listened to all that you had to say and even watched the Fox special on the documentary, Obsession.
I had to follow my heart and my gut, and they both told me that the republicans have had control of our country for too long. Our country is in a sad state and needs resuscitation badly.
It is time for change and for a fresh approach. It is time for better homeland security and more money being kept right here for American families and children. It is time for better health care, better education and better wages.
I did not see any of that happening under republicans. I did what I thought was best for me and for America. I only can hope that there are others of you out there who have your eyes wide open and who voted today.
Thanks so much to everyone who read my previous article: Republican or Democrat??
And thanks for all your opinions and for being loyal Americans even if I did not agree with your views.

ps.. did you know they are predicting that woman will decide this election? More of us are registered to vote than ever before! let's hope more woman are voting right now!!
I only voted for one judge, and the main reason I went was to vote on the propositions.
In total, with all the candidates and propositions - we had 95 decisions on our ballots this year!!!!
I am so glad you voted!!! Even if we don't agree ;-(
ps.. love your icon.. is that you??
THANK YOU!!!
BTW - Arizona has 19 ballot initiatives, and here in Maricopa County, the ballot is longer because we have to decide whether to retain 45 appointed trial judges in office. Many of the other counties have only a few judgeships on the ballot.
"Given the size of the ballot -- some ballots have as many as 95 questions with all the candidates -- things are going smoothly," said Kevin Tyne, deputy secretary of state.
Arizona voters face a lot of choices today
Arizona boasts the bulkiest ballot in U.S.
I voted absentee two weeks ago. The only incumbant I voted for was Janet Neopolitano. She's one of the best governors I've seen in a heck of a long time. Our congresscritters need to be drug behind a horse for a few miles throiugh prickly pear cacti!
I have several disabled veterans friends that say thank you
for voting Democratic.
The campaign is over, thank God!
But I would like to share this thought with you:
Our president ordered the Dept of Veteran Affairs (VA)
to review case files of 77,000 disabled combat veterans who
are currently, on complete VA disability.
The Bush Order: Review, eliminate or reduce disabled Veterans' benefits.
The 77,000 is just the beginning. All disabled veterans case files will
be reviewed.
We complained to our conservative GOP congressman BUT he
never returned our calls or E-Mails, this was 6 months, ago.
President Bush has stated 4 times that Iraq had nothing
to do with 9/11. He last stated this at a White House
Press conference in August 2006.
I voted from my heart too, so it was a mixed ticket... Democrats and Greens. Our county had a short ballot, believe it or not, but in the end I skipped some choices because the available candidates would not work for a progressive agenda... I could not in good conscience help vote them in!
.
Well said, Walker!! Same goes for Stephen Harper, BTW. If you know of someone who is willing to loan us their horses, I'll send him your way.
I like your "exporting baseball is good while
exporting democracy is dangerious"
That's why I registered & voted!
