The right wing is at it again, trying to write discrimination into the N.C. constitution. This bill isn't about "protecting marriage," it's about denying basic rights and responsibilities for same-sex couples. I just took action and hope you will too!

Every time a vote comes to the public to change the constitution it seems that the majority has spoken to keep it as written, I don't think it has as much with how people choose to live their lives as much as it does keeping the foundation of what this country was built on in tact.

I have no problem with people living any lifestyle that they want, religiously or sexually, I do however have a problem when people want to change the constitution. I would vote against a proposition like people in CA were faced with last November.

I believe the ideas that our Forefathers built this country on were sound and need to be preserved.

Sorry but that's just me.

And I don't think discrimination or hatred should be written into the constituation. That's not what America is to me. Maybe you're OK with teaching the kids about hate and treating people differently Mooch but thank God my kids will be raised knowing that I did the right thing, and that's to support it! If you want to take away those rights, fine, then we shouldn't have to pay the same taxes as you. Why do we pay the same taxes when we don't get the same benefits? Here's hoping the hatred in California will be overturned when they review it. Even if it's NOT overturned, I very much believe that someday, LGBTQ will be treated fairly with the same rights. Maybe it'll be in 5 years, 50 or a hundred but it'll happen. I hope to be alive to see it but if I'm not, I'll know that I contribuated to the good fight.

Just because I may teach my kids what the Bible says and I believe what it says doesn't mean I tell them to treat others differently, sorry but I would vote against a measure if it were put to vote in a state that I live in, not because people don't deserve the same benefits , etc etc etc, but because I am a firm believer of God, and what this country was built on.

It was built on the separation of Church and State. Not all religions follow the bible, so why are we letting one religion that does determine our laws?? Your religion may not believe in gay marriage but there are over 100 different religions that do. We can't deem one right over another so they should all be left out.

Hey Mooch, Do you wear two materials blended together? Do you eat shell fish? Have you been divoriced? Were you a virgin when you got married? Stop choosing what you want to believe in the Bible. If you are going to condem homosexuality and follow what you believe the Bible says then you should follow ALL of the Bible. Judge not lest ye be judged, Love your Neighbor as yourself. God doesn't make mistake, but He did make us all different. Did you ever hear of Hermorfidytes? Yes they do exist, What sex are they? Either way they are GAY. They are born that way, GODS creation.

I have no problem with same sex marriage, it is all about love isn't it. In fact, I would love to see my adopted daugher marry someone she truly loves (though she just rolls her eyes when I say that)
