Bush Fires Ally for Doing a Good Job, & Pres Ford Talks of Bush's Bad Job
Bush's appointment on this date (2003) of a long time ally is short-lived; he is fired, apparently for doing too good a job of ferreting out incompetence at Homeland Security. Protect the nation yes, but not if it means embarrassing Mr Bush!
Also on this date (2006) President Ford's death frees a reporter to talk of Ford's strong disagreement with Bush's Iraq policies. And a related Bushism.
