Oh those Jackbooted Angels
Oh those Jackbooted Angels, our heroes in dust dresses
Loving only thyself created these messes
Understand now don't you
Fight for Truth you have got to
Winning is for war's
Peace is the prize
Negotiating away our choices
Those are false ideas, and lies
Be counted when you stand
Tall as you can
Because forsooth
We must stand for truth
Let us bless the soldiers
Who bleed for the tree
Liberty is her name
And while she lives, we're free

Could you change the "false lies" phrase to something that isn't redundant - unless that's what you wanted?
I particularly like the last stanza!
Who bleed for the tree
Liberty is her name
And while she lives, we're free"
...what a wonderful thought and a phrase that we all should use as our mantra...beautiful Emmett....thank you for sharing!
didn't mean to post that twice...
Thank you Susan.... That is my favorite stanza as well..
Who bleed for the tree
Liberty is her name
And while she lives, we're free"
I loved that phrase!!!
Once again, you've written something that's just so good, there aren't any words...
