I wrote an article earlier today about Lucy Vodden dying from Lupus. She was the Lucy in the song, "Lucy in the Sky with diamonds". Well, while I was searching some fun Beatle facts, I came across a site that had the actual picture that inspired John to write this song.
Quote from Lucy Vodden:
"I remember Julian and I both doing pictures on a double-sided easel, throwing paint at each other, much to the horror of the classroom attendant… Julian had painted a picture and on that particular day his father turned up with the chauffeur to pick him up from school."

Julian told John that the picture was his friend Lucy in the sky with diamonds. I can see it, lol. It was drawn in 1966.
If you'd like to see and listen to the song sung by the Beatles, click on Video . It's also the page where I got the picture from.
Other people who have inspired Beatle songs are ~
Julian Lennon ("Hey, Jude")
- Prudence Farrow, sister of Mia ("Dear Prudence")
- Peter Fonda ("She said")
- Bill (son of Nancy Cooke de Herrera, both of whom were in Rishikesh) ("Bungalow Bill")
- Maharishi Mahesh Yogi ("Sexy Sadie")
