Lucy Vodden of "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds"

 Lucy Vodden dies at the age of 46 in London tuesday.  

   Not to many people know that Lucy was the "Lucy" in John Lennon's song, "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds".

 Most people thought he was writing that song about LSD.  But, it was for his son's (Julian) friend Lucy. Julian Lennon, 4 years old at the time, came home from school with a drawing one day, showed it to Dad and said it was "Lucy in the sky with diamonds." The rest was Beatle history.

  Julian sent her flowers and text messages while she was battling this chronic disease. She had Lupus.

  I myself had heard that this was written for a friend of Julian's.  But, did not know the whole story behind it until today when I read about it in the paper.  I am a big Beatle fan too. Not so big I reckon that I didn't know the true story behind the song. But, now I do.
