Today was a rare day. I actually saw my employer and got to talk to her for a bit. She's never around to talk to. I told her about the Stinkbug invasion and she thought it was funny. Ha Ha. They aren't at her house, just the barn. I'd like to see her handle what I've been handling for the past two days. But,she did tell me our neighbors across the road are having the same problem. They seem to think as I do, that's it's a sign of a bad Winter coming on.
The Changes I posted this article about took me quite by surprise.
Bridget the pony and Robin 2 have been sold and will be leaving in a month.
Bridget is going to a home with a little girl who loves her, so that is cool.
Robin 2 is going to another farm that will be using him for Foxhunting. Which is good too, because no one can ride him here.
Also, Robin 1, my favorite, is going to a farm to be trained for a month. Robin will be back after awhile, but then that'll just be 3 horses when he comes back.
I am worried that I won't be needed anymore. My boss assures me that she will still need me. But, I have doubts about that. She has never been totally honest and upfront with me, ever. She might be saying that so I won't up and leave before the horses are gone.
I have been looking for another job, but now... I feel I better find something soon. I've been redoing my resume and praying that something comes along for me before I become one of the unemployed and homeless. Trying not to stress to much about it. Hard not to though.
A friend said to me about the situation that with just 2 horses here for a month, maybe I can take a vacation away from the farm. I haven't had a vacation in years. But, I told her maybe I shouldn't. I might not have a job to come back to. :(

And I do hope your stinkbugs are wrong about a bad winter to come!
i keep hearing that this Winter is going to be a bad one. and by the look of the caterpillars(wooly bears) and these stinkbugs, maybe they're right.
I hope your job is safe....sounds like you thoroughly enjoy it
is there any way you could go stay with caitlyn & her dad for awhile? maybe make it easier to look for something closer to them by being in the area? (if you find that you do need to look elsewhere sooner than you anticipated.)
thanks.
Too bad that they're selling the two horses off. I'm sure everyone will miss each other.
Why can't anyone Ride Robin2 there?
bless you
I hear southern cali is nice - wink wink
Kim there are buses? Trains? Of course a plane??
Whatcha got to loose??
Hope everything works out for ya!!
We have noticed it is not being profitable for many other nationalities to take the jobs up here much anymore..... heck America is being hit hard too and we need the jobs.
So hopefully more Americans will take to jobs like you have??
I too have worked such jobs as you have. Just remember word of mouth is better then a resume when your dealing with livestock :0)
Maybe on the weekends hit a horse show or two, or cutting horse show or whatever you have other there and start talking to some potential employers?? If you work as a stable hand you get into everywhere they do :0) You no what I am saying :0) Nothing to it but hey you need someone to clean out your stall!
Again wish you all the best k
